Anyone having trouble with this tutorial, just do the following steps: move these tree lines to the top of the init function: renderer = new THREE.WebGLRenderer({antialias:true}); renderer.setSize(window.innerWidth,window.innerHeight); document.body.appendChild(renderer.domElement); and change the instantiation of the controls object from: controls = new THREE.OrbitControls(camera) to: controls = new THREE.OrbitControls(camera,renderer.domElement); you need to pass domElement.

Hey Red Stapler! Thanks to your tutorial, I was able to get this running. I really appreciate that and I hope your sub count goes up even more! One question though, how would you modify the background so that it's completely transparent? I would like to manipulate the background using CSS.
@harthgornaltrask5957
4 жыл бұрын
I am probably too late, since it has been 3 months since this question has been asked, but I'll answer as there may be other people who have the same question. To set the canvas's background to transparent, you simply need to add the line "alpha: true" (without quotation marks) to the object passed as parameter to WebGLRenderer. This property controls wether the canvas's background is to display alpha transparency or not. Default value is false, so that would result in a black background (or whatever is the color you chose for your Scene)

If you get "THREE.GLTFLoader is not a constructor" or THREE.OrbitControls is not a constructor, it's probably a version issue. Here's the CDN links to the scripts: However, this only changed my GLTFLoader constructor error into a OrbitControls constructor error. I did fix it though and got the project working. Go to your code and put the block o code “renderer = new THREE.WebGL ... (renderer.domElement);” after the block of code about “camera” and before “controls”. Explanation of the error: the renderer object is used before itself is declared. Go to the browser console and you can notice that.

@@alperengurbuz7097 from Vincent Nunna's reply to ABDUSHUKUR RASULOV. This worked for me. Ok i solved it, put that : renderer = new THREE.WebGLRenderer({antialias:true}); renderer.setSize(window.innerWidth,window.innerHeight); document.body.appendChild(renderer.domElement); let controls = new THREE.OrbitControls(camera, renderer.domElement); controls.addEventListener('change', renderer);
