Could you just 'UV project from view' the texture for the ground and walls and then add the objects. That would cast the shadows too right?

Yeah, that's totally an option. You lose a bit of flexibility when bringing things into a photo editor for composting but it would probably be a bit faster if you were trying to knock out a bunch of images. You might end up with some weirdness depending on the lighting in your images since by default the walls will still be affected by whatever lights/hdri you use for your scene while also having baked in lighting that was captured in your images. Depending on your you project it might be a better option for you! Projection mapping is super powerful and a great technique.

Great informative video thanks! I'm looking to upload finished product i.e image with 3D objects, to my website, and allow front end users the ability to move the 3D objects independently from the image. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Sounds like a fun project! I'm don't have any experience in web dev so don't really know where you'd start there. You might look into Unity or Unreal and see about building it similar to a browser game! No idea what those look like these days but it's probably worth looking into!

Try Three.js for 3D models and animations in websites. It's a JavaScript library.

Hi! This image was something I had on hand and isn't uploaded anywhere. Pretty much any image of a room should work! A good place to look might be Zillow!

Or maybe you comprehend slow? I, and many other commenters, have had no issues. This is very much so a tutorial, just a fast paced one. If it’s a huge issue, change your playback speed to 0.5x on KZitem.

Why am I seeing no textures? I'm in Blender 3.3, do I need to downgrade? Everything else seems the same. I'm a total noob with Blender, so I don't know what to look for.
