I had some QANTAS frequent flyer points to use up, so I bought a RING STICK-UP battery camera (generation 3), & a RING doorbell 4.
In the below video link, I unbox, setup app, & install the RING STICK-UP battery camera in my backyard decking • RING STICK-UP camera (... .
My original intention was just to rely on the battery in the camera to power it. And replace the battery every few months with a second spare battery that I bought. However, this would mean I have to reduce power consumption of the camera by minimizing video recording time, as well as not use some features which consume more power. And I would also have to use a ladder to reach the STICK-UP camera to replace the camera.
Hence, instead I bought a RING solar panel. In this video, I unbox & install the solar panel. Then I connect it to the RING STICK-UP camera. Now that the camera is connected to a solar panel, I can see that the battery is being charged. And I can also use more features of the camera, & not worry about power consumption as much.
