Add yogurt to the flour, and you'll be amazed at both results! Soft and delicious
Ingredients and recipe:
2 eggs
Save a yolk for later
280g greek yogurt
38g white sugar
Mix well
5g active dry yeast
Mix and wait for 5 minutes
300g all-purpose or bread flour
3g salt
Mix well until the ingredients are combined
30ml melted unsalted butter
Knead the butter into the dough
Cover and rise until double size
The baking pan size is about 7.5" in diameter
Brush butter or oil in the baking pan
After about 1.5 hours
Place the dough onto a kneading board
Sprinkle some flour on top
Fold the dough like this
Cut and divide the dough into 12 parts
Spread some flour on the kneading board
Take a piece of dough
Shape the dough like this
Repeat
Place the buns in the baking pan
These 7 buns will be for baking
Cover and rise until double size
Prepare a frying pan
Brush oil on the pan
These 5 buns will be for frying
Brush oil on top of the buns
Fry over low heat
Fry for 10 minutes
Parchment paper
Place a plate on top
Flip the buns over using the plate
Fry for another 8-10 minutes with the parchment paper
Done!
Brush with egg yolk
Bake for 20 minutes at 356F/180C
After baking
Place on a rack to cool
The bread is so soft and fluffy!
After frying
