Hi Ara, I have made the bedroom and living room furniture from Miss Periwinkles’ house. They look good from far, but far from good? I try to be neat, but my good intentions go astray. My hands are usually covered in glue and or paint. You are so incredibly meticulous and neat. You have opened up a whole new world to me and I so appreciate it. During the COVID I forgot to allow myself some time. It has been all work no play. But I had my little voice telling me to get right on it and start doing the things you enjoy in life. I have always loved working with my hands. This gives me a great deal of pleasure. A natural high so to speak. Especially if I have made something that I can truly say I like. Your generosity shines through to us all. To share your knowledge and so so much more with your followers. I thank you so very much. For me you have been my life saver. Your very friendly demeanour, kindness... the list just goes on and on. I do want to send you some photos of what I have been doing. Can this be done just by sending you an email? The work as I said is not great, but I want you to see that I am watching your site. Thank You Ara.

Hi Marsha! I am afraid that they neatness is a trick of the camera ;) I can make quite a large mess when I am making minis. I am so glad you have enjoyed getting into the hobby and I would love to see what you have made. The easiest way to send me photos is through IG or FB (links are in the description box of this video) or you can find my email in the 'About me' section on my YT channel here. I try not to type my email in the comment section because 'bots' like to pick it up and send me spam. Looking forward to seeing your pics!

The Iron Maiden isn't fabrication. It, much like the guillotine, bed of spikes/nails, the stretching rack, the electric chair, etc. are all genuine instruments of torture that the Addamses use as playthings.
@joannecarroll5504

@@TherealRNOwwfpooh Just saying something is genuine doesn't make it so. Most of the problem stems from the 1800s, the Victorians were absolutely nuts for blood, gore, spirits & spookiness (& hence the era of the Addams' home), that's when modern the rumours got out of control & when the fakes started being manufactured. Prior to that, Iron Maidens were anecdotally said to have been used in the Mediaeval Period 400AD-1450AD; the only writing to mention that was German philosopher Siebenkee in the 1500s saying a forger was executed by iron maiden, but no elaboration. Slight problem - in Germany, a guillotine was also called a maiden, so he may have been talking about something else completely. That misquoted report spread & by the Spanish inquisition 1478AD-1874AD they supposedly used it too, despite ZERO heavy, enormous, metal Maidens ever having been found in 1500yrs. There are no genuine historians with papers validating their existence, nor are there any archaeological papers showing confirmed discoveries of anything that even resembles them for that entire period of 1.5 millennia. Those on display are ALL props, fabricated for profit during or after the Victorian era - at the time, most were also fraudulently claimed to be Mediaeval torture devices & were later shown to be just as fake as Milli Vanilli. Hence my previous description "fabrication". Best wishes.

Fantastic! (A little idea for a special effect? If you have a small crevice available you could put mirrors on either side of it and create an infinite impossibly long hallway to nowhere going sideways through the mansion. If you hung a light from the ceiling and a painting on the back wall they would repeat into infinity to either side. LOL! Just a thought...) LOVE the Addams mansion!

Shouldn't that be in Uncle Fester's room, since he's basically the mad scientist of the family? Yes, Granny Frump/Grandmama Addams is a witch of the highest caliber, but she's easily misled & in the original cartoons by Chaz Addams, she and Wednesday are arguably the sweetest out of the entire clan, as far as the core Family goes.

There are so many parts of this house that I love!!! The handmade elements are awesome!! That particular scientific piece in the kitchen is a distillation apparatus for distilling the alcohol out of something or the water from contaminated water, so I am assuming that grandma gets that nasty clean water out so she can use the toxic bits! And I think grandma needs some human anatomy posters to show the parts she's interested in and to give that do they or don't they eat it question. Especially with the sausages! LOL Love the floors and walls and it makes me even more excited about the abandoned coffee shop. Incredible work! Thanks for taking us on your journey!! And yes, please fabricate the iron maiden! How awesome would that be?!!!
@BentleyHouseMinis

Thanks for giving me a name for that thing! I wasn't much of a science enthusiast in school :) Great idea on the posters and I was thinking some bat and other animal posters as well with lots of piles of books. I don't think they have ever openly described them as cannibals but its never been specifically denied either. According to the movie their family credo is "We Gladly Feast on Those Who Would Subdue Us." so maybe revenge cannibalism? Or it could have been a joke. Either way ew.... lol. Yes I have gotten a couple requests for me to make the Iron Maiden! Time to research!! -Ara

Bentley House Minis whatever you make that you want to make we’ll watch! I love your videos! I’ve looked at miniature houses, etc. can’t afford it. I saw the furniture at dollar tree so I can redo some of those and as for the house, I’m just going to do a room like you did with the abandoned coffee shop. Some sort of miniature art room in a vintage grungy secret art studio sort of style. I have a masters in human Biology. So a science lab would be an awesome miniature room too. It’s my plan. I’m disabled and unwell right now so I’ll get to it one day. 😍 I’m gathering ideas on how to make everything myself too!! Thanks for sharing to help me find a new craft to do!!

I am so sorry you're feeling unwell :( I will say a prayer you start feeling better soon! The best place I have seen to find dollhouses on a discount is at garage sales or thrift stores. Sometimes they are in horrible states but can rehabbed through a lot of love and time! But room boxes are great too and not as overwhelming. You can focus a lot of energy and time in one small space! -Ara

@@BentleyHouseMinis 1. They DO have cannibals, murderers, and other terrible people in their family bloodline, which includes both the historical Vlad the Impaler & the vampire he inspired, Count Dracula. 2. Both the 1992-1993 cartoon as well as 1997's direct-to--video film _Addams Family Reunion_ directly referenced cannibalism; "We're Addames through & through and you know what that means?" "We eat our young?" "No brain zero, we never let each other down." (This is taken verbatim from the second animated series' season 2 debut episode _Dead & Breakfast_ in which the Addams children turn the family home into a hotel for a school project they're forced to take part in) & "Well, there were three of us, but Pugsley ATE the little one." (This was Wednesday's explanation for the absence of 3rd child Pubert who was only in the 1993 sequel film _The Addams Family Values_ even though _Addams Family Reunion_ was not the 3rd movie fans of the two preceding films wanted, since it was actually just a test pilot for the one-season sitcom reboot _The All-New Addams Family_ that ran on ABC Family in 1998).

@@BentleyHouseMinis Since the Addam's love workarounds rather than fixes maybe they knocked a hole in the wall into the kitchen for Lurch's feet and the plus point is that the fire would keep them roasty toasty .
@TherealRNOwwfpooh

Not necessarily. Remember, the Addamses love the unconventional/abnormal. Plus, Lurch himself stated in the 1964 sitcom that he enjoys being miserable. This is also why the two recent CGI movies featured Lurch in a tiny, cramped space surrounded by mattresses on all sides to simulate the insane asylum the Family apparently adopted him from after causing his escape from the local paddy wagon in the 2019 movie.
