How do you have it wired?

Its 12 volt DC so I am using a 12 battery that is attached to a trickle charger. I figure that this set up is better for me just in case there is a long power outage. Eric

Ain’t nothing wrong with your set up but that 1” filter is making that 12 volt work hard. 3/4” 10 micron filter will last you years. That 1” filter is designed for 50,000 gallons of diesel on a 35 gpm pump. Just stating this so your pump last longer.

Yup. Not sure how we went with the 1” setup when he has a 15 gpm pump. Even a 3/4 12 micron filter would do good

Wrong wrong. If you put a pressure gauge between the filter and pump you'd find out larger pipe and filter has less back pressure. The fuel flows easier.

But the pipe is not larger, the pump is 3/4”, the plumbing is 3/4” and the hose and nozzle are 3/4”. The only thing 1” is the filter and I know for a fact that a 12V Fillrite Pump is much happier with a 3/4” 10 micron filter than a 1” because I repair them everyday.

Do you have two swivels on the filter exit? (4:46) Could you please provide make/model numbers? I'm trying to duplicate your setup! :)

Would you increase the life of the pump if the filter were before it instead of after it?

I guess it would be better for the pump. Just not sure how to mount it. Eric

some filters are made for pressure after the pump. If the filter is before ,then it has a suction on it so make sure the filter will handle the suction on it.

Adding only a particulate filter is not the way to go and you should always but always add a water block filter first and then a particular filter second.

Why should you add a water block filter?? first and then a particular filter second?

NAGAZINA FIREWORKS Yes water block first, particulate next. Diesel is famous for collecting water. Should be drained off periodically from bottom of tank as water is heavier and settles on bottom. This is well known by most which is why I'm shocked this video doesn't mention it. It's not a maybe, it's a MUST.

Water block is a must. You'll just about eliminate problems and filter changes on your tractors and equipment unless you throw a dirty fuel can in the middle. The water block filters Tractor supply sells catch water and dirt. If you have dirt problems you can ad a standard filter to catch the dirt first as the filters are a lot cheaper. You don't change a water block filter till it pumps so slow you can't stand it or you worry about the pump.

Its pumping 15 gallons a minute, what you referred to as smoke is a mist that is created from the flowing diesel fuel. Eric
