Wow, HUGE respect for this man. My cousin went to rehab for heroin addiction and immediately overdosed and died upon getting out. Grateful for this guy’s second chance. The world needs his great sense of humor!

Wow, he's great! I never thought I'd see the day when someone could make jokes about past heroin addiction, but here we are. I hope he lives a very long and happy life, and whether he wants to be or not, he is definitely an inspiration. Thank you, Dry Bar Comedy, for this Andy Gold special. ♥♥♥

That was a rollercoaster. I didn't really care for the last half of his content, but if this could help other addicts get clean, I'll support it for that reason alone. I was pretty upset about the incredibly disrespectful comments about the elderly though. They got to that age precisely BECAUSE they know what REAL FOOD looks like!!! You could learn a LOT from them sir!!! Show some more respect!

@@andygoldcomedian What is it with the arrogance of comedians that they feel they can dismiss justified critiques to their content? I get it that you probably get a lot of nonsense comments, but didn't your parents ever teach you to respect your elders? Why don't you watch your own content and see how it sounds? It's very rude. I'm 43 BTW, but I would never say such things. The bumbling idiot in the Whitehouse is one of very few exceptions because he's corrupt and a criminal, but that's another topic. Much respect for staying clean sir, but write some better content sir. You don't need to denigrate people or curse to be funny.

It would be great if he would develop the storytelling side of his set more. He COULD Start out with whatever he might remember of an afterlife when he says, "I got clean in 2009. I had a fatal overdose in my parents house....temporarily.". I mean what's funnier than saying you had a fatal overdose, temporarily. That's hilarious...he should just go on from there. Before point of view versus afterwards point of view would be absolutely hilarious to hear about.

Actually... on "I concur"... my husband, who's a diesel tech/heavy truck & trailer mechanic, would prob. say that sometime. Not just him but quite possibly at least a couple co-workers he's had. They also say things like "cromulent" and " spadoinkle" - both basically, seemingly meaning " very good" m/l. I overhear a lot of phone convos, as they're particular job requires a lot of those. Anyway, besides those last two made-up (?) &/or movie-quote words, they also mock seriously or actually seriously use "fancy" verbage in a matter of fact/casual, normal way and tone of voice usually. It's their way of having fun, being comedic, enjoying camaraderie etc. ( so it seems to me). It's also fun to listen to :). While none of them have a piercing ( that I know of ), the one has tats, vapes, loves all things pirate-ey and might have a pierced ear, and I would be more surprised if he never said "I concur" than if he did. In fact, I think he has in conversation with my husband, if not with a customer.

Great set and I am glad you kicked your habit. But I will never understand why audiences (especially in North America) always treat addiction as though it is some tremendous badge of honor. I have never heard an audience applaud a comedian after they said "I have never had an addiction". For that you just get crickets.
