" I've been burnt out ever since varsity." 🤣 highly relatable! I think being okay with sharing videos whereby you share problems without solutions is a green flag. Knowing and accepting that you won't always have the answers to questions is a view that can be applied to achievements/failures.

I am where you are at right now…in burnout and I can empathize it sucks! For me I am taking 2 weeks off and not doing work at all. Exercise has been helping for me as well. After talking to my life coach, we decided that I am going to be an a plus me and that I am only going to be above average at work a c plus. This is a hard concept because I think you like myself throw our full self into what we do. I am going to give it a roll though. Failure is also one of my biggest fears. I think I am so afraid of failure because I apply tit to my self worth. Failure isn’t that. Failure doesn’t, mean I am a bad person it means I have a learning experience. It makes me come back stronger and allows me to get more clarity about why I failed. Failure is a part of life and is healthy if we see it for that learning experience as opposed to saying that we are bad people. Sending you good vibes. I hope you ease out of your burnout soon.

Thank you for sharing and you raise such great points. Attaching failure to self-worth sounds like a losing strategy. A life coach sounds like something I could definitely try out!

I love your videos Tino, damn. It’s so relatable. I’m not a workaholic though, I’m the opposite 🙈. I’m so scared of failing to the point that I do nothing. And that’s quite evident in my career progression and personal life. I always see people talk about being hyper productive (like you) and I wish I could get even 10% then my life will jump so many leaps.

@Nico Barendse, that's a surprisingly honest statement. Most people do not admit to being their own worst enemy in any context. Half the trouble is seeing yourself clearly, chin up, you can make incremental changes now.

Ello Mr Tino🙋. First of all I have to say that your content is quite informative so thank you for it. As someone who has done BEng in ECE at UCT I would like to ask you to please advise me on buying a laptop as I plan on doing the same degree next year. Namely what I am humbly asking of you is to inform me how buying an M1 MacBook Air would disadvantage me(and if these these disadvantages are total deal breakers for ECE) and maybe recommend a few alternative windows machines in the R10K-R20K range

Why don't you get professional help from a qualified therapist (not one of those pretend ones you see on SA TV in a myriad of shows on dysfunction.😉)? This thing can really get out of control, so nip it in the bud before it really destabilizes you. Take it from someone who has been there before. Best wishes munin'inga.
