Great review, as always ! I like that, in XLN studio grand and The Grandeur, there are no notes that sound too metallic or buzzing when playing loud... In Keyscape C7, the notes around the C above A 440 are ringing strangely, and it gets me off every time... (keyscape other instruments are fabulous).

I chuckled at you mixing up "Above All" (Micheal W. Smith) and "Shine Jesus Shine", wanted to look at the time stamp to put it in my comment - and realized that a whopping 28 MINUTES had already passed since I started watching. Unbelievable! Goes to show that your playing is enough to keep me engaged! Wonderful demo of what Addictive Keys can do. It’s weird - I tried it a while back and didn’t care for it very much. Somehow I came away feeling that it was a little lifeless. But listening to it now I’m not getting that at all. Sounds fine to me, and flexible at that.

@@SamTheBeardGuy I really like the blueberry lemonade, too. it's subtle. Hey, I searched your channel to see if you've reviewed Ivory and couldn't find anything. I bought the Steinway Concert D a long time ago along with the uprights and am wondering how Ivory (II) stacks up with the new stuff. Last time I tried to load it (after a long time), it didn't want to load, so I may have to reinstall it. I have Komplete 13 Ultimate and haven't bothered with Ivory for a long time. I'm just wondering if it would be worth branching out or sticking with Ivory to supplement NI. I'm not a keyboardist, but a semi-pro producer, but do everything I do at the highest level of quality possible. Do you have an opinion on Ivory?

Hello, I have amateur question. To use that software - are you connecting your piano to PC via: Midi? USB? Or maybe audio interface with piano connected to it with TRS/TS line connection?

@@SamTheBeardGuy Great! Thanks for answer :) Can you tell me please is it possible to use those VSTs with connection not by connecting piano to PC via Midi usb but - Piano (TRS/TS cable) ---> Interface audio ---> PC?
@FarsansTorraOrdvitsar
10 ай бұрын
@@mw9463 The library is a virtual instrument, it is using MIDI as signal, so no, you cannot connect a piano with analog audio to your interface to play the different setup. You can however use your pc keyboard to try out the free version of Adictive Keys.. Just to try it out.. I think it is free forever but with a limited range of the piano, like the middle octave only...

I have tried a few demos AK and I like it. I am actually looking at picking up the Novation Launchkey 88 to go with my A88 as my Nektar packed up and this comes with it so I am eager to try it properly. The only thing I noticed was it seemed to have a bit latency even when I have the buffer down to about 128 but at the price point you cannot complain at all.

@@SamTheBeardGuy yeah it is a really solid keyboard, keys felt good and were not clanky and noisy unlike the Nektar. I will not be using it for piano as I have the A88 which is used as my main piano controller but the Launchkey is a nice compliment for it and sits nicely on top. have you considered reviewing any of the VSL Synchron Pianos at all?

the interface is amazing - fun and intuitive. Soundwise I think it is great for dance, pop, hip hop - anything radio friendly - but I wouldn't use it on anything I intend to be warm and intimate where I want the piano on its own. It has a very clean sound compared to something like Imperfect Samples, East West Pianos, or Keyscape.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. On every preset in AddictiveKeys i hear a "thud" sound when each note plays. I guess its the sound of the pianos hammer? Sounds like the keys are being pressed really hard every note and its so frustrating. I deal with it now by using a highpass filter on the low-end just enough to cut the thud out. Is this the only solution??
