That's how I widened a quilt. Thanks for showing us. I also use this method to make scrappy table runners. It's easier to quilt the middle first, then add the sides.

I like the way you added the batting. trying to cut it 1/4 more narrow and all that silliness is so much more work. This is two easy steps to get the batting into the sandwich. Thanks.

Also…never ever will I quilt a king size quilt on a queen size frame lol. It felt like I was wrestling a bear….a grizzly 😂 it all worked out tho it was a moment of triumph and …. Never again ha ha
