I thought it was guiding their kid(s) through life to be a good citizen of the world. to give back and help people to when you leave this world leave it in a better place than when you got here. our world is so messed up that this is the makeup of what a good parent is. and for all you woke people never did I say the parent shouldn't be doing this or this is wrong or this is bad, not once did I condemn how this parent raises her kids. I may or may not agree with this pronoun stuff but that is irrelevant. all I'm saying this should not be the benchmark of a good parent. for example: her giving her kids money and a budget and teaching them how to be responsible, yeah that warms my heart, her giving that type of freedom and fostering that type of learning, yeah that warms my heart. that should be one of the benchmarks.

I was homeschooled, and my grandparents did something similar to this but also included my own personal grocery budget, and I would get a certain amount each week to spend on food, hygiene products, and naturally, keep the leftover, or use it on other household and personal items. I cooked all of my own meals by late high school, or I saved a portion and would use it to eat out some nights. There were no rules as to how much I was allowed to spend on food vs self-care items, so it was my responsibility to budget both within the limit I was given. As a current college student, I often forget that my young adult peers are only now for the first time learning essential self-management skills that I had the ability to become comfortable within a familiar environment. ^^

$130 for 3 months is actually a lot of money. At first, I thought that it was too little, but when I used myself as an example, where I would buy shampoo maybe once every 2 months and sanitary products maybe once a month, i think $130 is a good amount. It teaches the kids not to overspend on things that they don't need.

Nice idea to teach about budgeting. My children have nimbl cards. We just top it up as they use it. There is no set limit, but they aren’t allowed to buy things for other people, just for themselves (we found they acquired lots of friends when they did that and those friends weren’t real friends). They are staying sensible and never end up with huge spending. But the money is just for snacks and drinks, corner shop stuff. We buy all other items for them.
