I don’t think it’s terrible representation, this is just one aspect of it. People with ADHD are creative, smart, and hard working people... but when I was young and honestly sometimes still, I would have meltdowns and or be aggressive when I would become emotionally overwhelmed due to lack of impulse control in my emotions, what I say and do, ADHD effects people differently and this girl is almost exactly like I was when I was younger

I admit I can't cope without something to keep me occupied, I have so far escaped that diagnosis, although I do have an Autism disorder, that being Aspergers Syndrome. Sure when I have a meltdown, I do appear bat crap crazy, however, kudos to Casualty for bringing it to the fore so to speak. People who are on the Autism Spectrum arem not crazy, we are anot mentally ill, we just need a whole different level of care and support. I couldn't agree more with what you say. Family and friends of those with uncontrolled or undiagnosed ASD need the same support as those if us that have ASD's

I love Casualty, but as someone who has lived with ADHD for nearly a decade, this feels so patronizing. Yes, I understand that all ADHD presents differently, but this kid just seems like a brat. A better representation would be the constant spacing out, stimming, accidentally interrupting someone who is speaking then immediately apologizing, the memory problems, panic attacks, getting overwhelmed, the hyperfocus to the point of forgetting to eat/drink/sleep. ADHD isn't just being dusruptive 24/7, it's so much more, and it's not just kids, adults and teenagers have it too, and that representation is limited enough as is. Something I would love to see would be a main character (that doesn't just leave or get killed off after the story arc is done) that is open with their colleagues about their ADHD, and yeah, they struggle sometimes, but maybe they have a happy family, and they're still a good doctor. Sorry about the rant, just got very passionate about this for a minute😅
