Brilliant video Sam, my daughter has ADHD. It was undiscovered until she was 16 and trying to revise for her exams and she broke down. Thankfully for her Covid hit and she didn’t have to sit them. She was diagnosed shortly after and is now medicated, she has just started her dream of becoming a paramedic and studying at university and this would not be possible without her medication. It’s very difficult to explain how your brain works with ADHD, because to you it’s normal, but you did a fantastic job. Thanks for your honesty ❤

Im 37 and I was diagnosed 30 years ago with extreme ADHD.. in other words i am combined ADHD and everything that falls in those categories is 10x worse for me.. i was on the highest dose of ritalin per day which was excessive and unfortunately i never outgrew ADHD.. it has stuck with me and ruined my life beyond measure, i struggle with everything and no matter how hard i try i can never get past those struggles, relationships, money, friendships and just life in general.. im single with no friends because nobody wants me, nobody understands me.. i uave considered suicide so many times but i always somehow talk myself out of it.. i did try to overdose once but i couldnt even do that right because here i am.. i now suffer with depression and anxiety.. im one of the unlucky ones, sorry if none of what i said makes sense but its hard for me to get across what i want to say You are lucky, you have a wife and daughter and you should be thankful for that.. you have a thriving youtube channel which is awesome and you need to keep at it, take it further and enjoy what you do I do wish you all the best mate, you've got people who care for you, which is something im lacking I do enjoy your videos, take it easy

Great video mate - well worth posting. Makes your journey to where you are even more so special, shows what can be achieved. I was diagnosed with Meniere's 15 years ago and have 24/7 chronic tinnitus which has led to multiple bouts of depression and OCD. I made a video about it on my channel much like you are doing here. But, we have to keep fighting, keep pushing through, keep pushing on with our own journeys. This is why we should NEVER compare to others, we truly never know of people's circumstances. I admire your honesty and openness dude, I have been a fan for a short while and love your content, keep it up mate. I will be around likewise if you ever need a chat.

Amazing Video man, I’m also neurodiverse but undiagnosed. I’m on a 5 year waiting list but I have learnt to optimise my life around my differences. I don’t think there’s a better career than entrepreneurship for people like us. Keep up the great work man 💪🏻😁

Thanks for sharing these very personal thoughts and experiences. I got my diagnosis last week and I can say it's definitely thanks to people spreading awareness like you that I finally took the hurdles of the diagnosis process... And it's thanks to people like you and videos like this that I understand myself better. Unlike other dedicated adhd KZitemrs I really can relate to how you speak and act. Which makes me much more confident the outcome of the diagnosis is not a mistake (i'm avery suspicious person, even suspicious of me faking my own adhd test 😅) Again thank you ❤

Great video Sam, well done for sharing. Your ADHD certainly doesn’t reflect badly on your work ethic. Keep up the good work mate. I listen to the dapper laughs ‘menace to sobriety’ podcast. It’s primarily around addiction but he suffers with ADHD and speaks about it a lot, well worth a listen. Aside from this, I think it would be really interesting to understand how you got into what you do and where you started before the reselling game.

Thanks for the kind words! He was on a podcast I listen to called ADHD chatter, was a good listen! Speaking of podcasts I recently did my first one over on "the flip room" channel, I went into detail about ADHD/Amazon/ebay/Next Level and what happened before then as well! Worth a listen if youre interested :)

Getting a diagnosis helps you completely understand (after a period of time for you to come to terms with it) your life and realise what you did in your childhood suddenly starts to make sense. I know my issues being diagnosed not only helped me but also the others around me realised why I am this way. All the best with going forward.

Hey Sam, great video. Don't know if you noticed how much i spoke over you when we talked about Next Level last week . . . yeah you're not alone 😅. Really eloquent video though, well put. I was diagnosed late too and i dont think ive heard anybody else speak publically before about the anger at the lost opportunities that they might have had had they been diagnosed earlier. This video will mean so much to so many, reselling has all the hallmarks of an ideal neurodivergent job. You've got the thrill of the hunt and the dopamine from shopping as well as the physical out and about aspect that requires a lot less attention than sitting at a desk all day. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more of us who are neurodivergent than aren't 😂. Anyway, im waffling now. Thanks for the vid.

What aspect of the medication is working? I find elvanse helps the impulsive aspect and not the inattentive so the meds are like a seesaw! What would be better is for people to have more understanding of the condition

Yeah knowledge is power!! So for me xaggatin helps with focus, it reduces all the extra "voices" in my head so that I can keep on a task. For me it's comparable to when I have a bout of hyperfocus, before I couldn't switch that on/off it just happened but with medication it allows me to remain focused on boring or mundane tasks for a significant period of time. Like with most drugs there are some side effects but for me personally they are outweighed by the benefits!

Even when you talk to a doctor nothing happens. I’ve been to the doctor 3 times about my 13 yr old daughter 100% having adhd. I’ve been on the parenting classes that they send you on… because of course the way she is is bad parenting 🙄 I have begged secondary school for someone to assess her… nope not interested… they threw her out of mainstream because she wouldn’t concentrate in lessons and distracted others. She now attends alternative provision school for 2 hours a day because they can’t cope with her either… she continually loses her bus pass so rarely makes it in. Even they don’t want to assess her. Her brother has been diagnosed since age 6 and has bad adhd… why can’t they see it tends to run in families and that I may actually be right. I’m so angry at her lost opportunities because she is really intelligent and with the right medication could be amazing. I’ll keep fighting for her but I’m banging my head against brick walls. 😢
