If it feels like flyknit that's great! just ordered these shoes on the Adidas website. The main reason to get them is the fact that these shoes DO NOT use primeknit.. I've been using the ultraboost uncaged and the primeknit retain too much heat, is almost like wearing whool shoes, after a while the shoes become stinky (and NO. I'm not an stinky feet person, never had that issue before XD) during hot days it was a pain to wear them.. probably the only valuable thing of primeknit is its elasticity but other than that, im not a big fan of it.

this has been my go-to running shoe for several years now. imo this is the perfect balance between boost's bounciness and stability, and it hugs your feet really well. feels way better for running than the og ultraboost (haven't tried the 19 and 21 though)
@sirflexinton

The extended platform on the forefoot is also to ensure that your foot doesn't roll as easy as other shoes. Like you said, these are aimed for street runners, so Adidas made that extended platform to handle corners well.
@WearTesters
7 жыл бұрын
Omar Ortiz That's exactly what stability is all about. They sit wide and low. Promotes stability during your runs. Not just specifically taking turns. That's the PR pitch for them. Unless you're sprinting, no way most runners are going fast enough to actually roll their ankle while turning a corner.

Awesome review as always! I've been waiting for a more minimalist-like shoe from Adidas for quite some time as I missed out on their adipure motion/gazelle/adapt models a long time ago. Anyways, you mention that going half a size down would work if you prefer a more snug fit. I have a narrow foot, but enjoy a wider forefoot area for toe splay, yet I also need some mid foot/heel lockdown. For running, would you recommend me going true to size, or half a size down? Thank you, and keep up the good work!
@WearTesters
7 жыл бұрын
If your foot is extremely narrow then going down 1/2 sz might work. However, the forefoot does allow for toe splaying going tts. Hopefully they're available somewhere in-store for you to try on to ensure proper sizing.

I recently bought a pair of the PB dpr and in comparison with my Ultraboost 3.0 it is even better to workout at the gym , running at the treadmill and asphalt. It is for sure a lot more stable and safe ride then the UB.Also so far the outsole seems that it will be more durable then the continental rubber found on the UB. No complaints about the DPR but the UB have a low durability outsole and I got to remember to looser the lace other wise the cage will hurt my feet. The perfect Adidas boost for casual and running is the pureboost DPR !
@matteo4413

MiracleWarriors is the boost as comfortable as the boost in the ultraboost?
@MiracleWarriors
6 жыл бұрын
Matthew The boost in the ultraboost is the pretty much the same quantity in it and the pureboost dpr. What gives the "higher feeling" of softness and a better response in the Continental rubber found only on the UB while the DPR has a more tick and hard rubber to make it last longer but it kills a bit the pleasure that only the UB can give. I live both shoes and the PB has a wider footprint and it is made to be used for every situation while , for me, the UB I don't use it much as casual use since the cage is a 50% chance I will have to readjust the laces so the cage don't press to much me foot. When I want to run fast the UB is the best option ...I can feel a better response vs the PB to help me run faster .... But then again , because the cage and narrow footprint of the UB I prefer not to use it for too long. I would suggest you check the ultraboost uncaged ... the PB DPR has no cage and it stays on my feet no problem. Good luck friend.
@Ivan-sy9wh

How is the size comparison?
@MiracleWarriors
6 жыл бұрын
Ivan the DPR has wider footprint then the UB but the knit still hugs very well my feet as the knit from a Nike shoes with flywire would do too. I prefer a shoe without a cage like the Ultraboost since it is a 50% chance I will need to lace again and again the laces to make the adjustment more comfortable in the middle foot area. This kind of thing does not occurs with the DPR or a Nike shoes . For the DPR you might want to test a half size up just in case since the knit on it is not as stretchy as the prime knit of the UB.

Hey nightwing have u tried out the boston boost? I know its pretty old but I bought it last christmas and it felt pretty good but not as what I thought boost would feel like.. I'm no marathon runner, but I'm pretty sure midfoot to forefoot is one style of jogging, not THE proper way of doing it. In fact, I read a study that showed forefoot emphasis didn't produce fewer injuries than heel to forefoot.
@WearTesters
7 жыл бұрын
ampark09 I never said anything about stride preventing injury. Injuries happen. Using your heel is breaking. Runners tend to want to move forward at a steady pace and beat their previous times.
@ampark09
7 жыл бұрын
Heel to forefoot transition isn't breaking though... Some people say midfoot is better but it's not an absolute rule: running.competitor.com/2014/03/injury-prevention/footstrike-101-how-should-your-foot-hit-the-ground_63548
@WearTesters

ampark09 Nothing is ever absolute. Article states forefoot strikes are better for the body unless you're forcing yourself to forefoot strike. It was pretty clear. Not sure what you're trying to say.
@ampark09
7 жыл бұрын
Let me clarify what I'm trying to say. Here's what you said in the video: "If you strike properly...you are going to be striking either within your midfoot or your forefoot or midfoot to forefoot." Article: ""Just because you heel-strike doesn’t mean you have bad form.'" This means it is false to say that striking "properly" is using a midfoot/midfoot to forefoot strike. There is no proper strike. It's more important to have proper form in terms of your posture and keeping your legs/stride as close to your body as possible. I'm not trying to be a hater or anything. I just wanted to point out that it's incorrect to say a midfoot strike is proper/ideal. I know nothing is absolute and yes, I'm nitpicking/being pedantic (I guess I have too much time on my hands today). I love the channel and have been a subscriber/supporter for years. Keep up the great work.
@WearTesters
7 жыл бұрын
That's not what the article said. It said if you do strike heel to forefoot then it can work. Just like shooting form. There is the "proper" technique and form but that does not mean that you cannot effectively shoot another way. Simple as that. Enjoy and appreciate the free product review. Stop trying to nitpick things someone says. Its extremely rude.
