Great shoe. Have been playing with these for a few months now and the fit/flexibility of the upper is perfect for me. I will say the durability of the outsole is not great. Already a hole after two months but ive been playing about 4 times a week. Will continue to use these. Thanks to Zach for the detailed review

Hello from Ireland. Picked up a pair of these after lots of research and viewing several of your reviews across loads of shoes. Got them for €60 , so bargain straight off. I play a lot of handball ( the type like racquetball but without the racket) which requires a lot of multidirectional movement, explosive movement, toe drag etc etc etc. These shows are one of the best I've ever worn. Great shoe. We also have a version of the game here in Ireland that's played on a concrete surface and these hold up brilliantly despite the obvious harder wearing surface. Absolute bargain and highly recommend. I've worn high end shoes from several brands previously but these best most if not all. Keep up the good work Zach. Love the reviews ( from a shoe geek here in Ireland) 👍👍

I have returned two pairs of barricades back to adidas because the uppers were falling apart after a couple of months. I liked the look of these but couldn’t find them with a clay court sole. Eventually I went for a pair of ASICS court ff2. I wish they would bring back the solecourt boost.

First of all, that video of you breaking your ankle is hard to watch. Ouch! So glad to see you on the mend and healing up. Get back 100% as soon as possible. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Zach, really interesting review. I had heard a lot of good things about the SMC and bought a pair. I never ended up actually playing in them as I found the fit around the toe box a bit cramped. Did you find that?

Thanks for all of the thorough reviews! I'm currently using Adidas Barricades, and love the stability since I sprained my left ankle horribly last spring. The top lace loop just broke off, and they're not quite as comfortable as I like... Just have a couple quick questions... 1. Are these as stable as the Barricades? 2. Are these more comfortable as the Barricades? Thanks, and keep up the videos!

I’m a 6’4” 270lb pickleball player with flat feet and I just found these in a 14 for $45 so I picked them up to replace my harden 6s while I wait for the new Gel Resolution 9s to come out. Picked up a pair of power steps to try in them too based off of your recommendation. Thanks for putting all the info out there that I needed!

Just wanna say thanks for the accurate review. I’m about a yr into playing tennis and my 1st sport specific shoes were the Nike Vapor Pro. I liked the low stack height and minimalist design, but ultimately it’s not the greatest for my flat feet long term. I moved on to the Nike Zoom NXT because I thought a stiffer shoe might be better, but they feel bulkier than my liking. You were right that the Solematch Control fits right in between the minimalist and bulky/supportive shoes on the market. Three sessions in and I’m confident that I’ve found the Goldilocks Zone for my feet and game. Both of the Nike models I mentioned took some time to get used to (as well as blisters I needed to deal with), but the Solematches get great from Day 1.

Been really thinking about these Solematch Control, the Wilson Pro 4’s, or the new ASICS Court FF 3’s…. I do slide a ton on hard court and clay, so durability and comfort are my main priorities for tennis shoes. I did try a bunch of other shoes from my local tennis store, and I really liked how the Wilson Pro 4’a felt, I’m just debating on which shoe to go to will be interested to seeing how the Court FF 3’s will be once released

Good value for money shoe (Amazon UK are currently selling them for £38!). Comfortable fit and seem very durable. The only knock I have is that I get a bit of toe jamming when running forward and stopping. I would also go up half a size in terms of fit. I wouldn't overpay for them but a decent choice if you can get them on discount.

when they break in they are great. Use a thick shock though because they are hard on the toe. maybe better than asics ff 2 and the sole is very absorbing. Using them for 2 months now. unfortunately if you go white like i did, is very difficult to be cleaned, dirt sticks to the plastic

Thanks Doc, I was gonna order a pair of these but wanted to wait for your video and I'm glad I did because them not having a shank is a deal killer for me. Have you found any tennis shoes that have the push-off of the old GP Turbo's but fit a wider foot (I'm just under 2E)? The Tourneo's fit great but didn't help much off the line and the Solecourt Boost's high arch is rough even with the Move insoles. Should I try the Asics G.R.8 or Babalot J.M.3? Or should I be looking at bball shoes that can handle an outdoor pickleball court? Thanks in advance, your videos have been a massive help!

Question. 68 year old tennis player. I was playing for years in an Adidas basketball shoe. Marquee Boost Low. Loved them. Moving and setting up on a stroke, provided me with very good lateral stability. I recently switched to an Adidas Ubersonic (clay) and find not as much stability when moving and stopping to load for the shot. Is it forefoot width? The Marquee is nearly a full inch wider across the bottom of the forefoot.
