I don't use Final Cut Pro but this video taught me about adjustment layers which are available in DaVinci Resolve as well! About five years ago, I used a static camera with masking to have a short conversation with myself while loading the washer and emptying the drier. A time dilation kinda thing. An important aspect is lighting.. it can not change! When shooting outdoors it had to be kind of quick, as the earth is moving.
