So many people misunderstood the childrens action... Japanese kids keep touching the hair of the baby, thats not because they are curious about the hair color but that is the way Japanese cherish little kids. Even the little girl said, "kawaii ne, yoshiyoshi shite agetara?" which means, "So cute, isnt he? Why dont you do "good good" to him?" at 1:29. Patting a head gently while saying "yoshiyoshi(good good)" is the typical japanese way of cherishing, or cheering up little kids.

True but when i was a kid i studied in Japan before and when we got on a fieldtrip i saw a boy with blonde hair and my classmates where like "うわー、彼は金髪だ!彼はとてもかわいいです!" (translation : "wow, he's blonde and he's so cute!) And my other classmates and i started chasing the blonde boy until he's crying in agony hahaha I'm such a 悪い女の子 that time omg...

Bud E You do know there's no such thing as a literal translation, right? English is a particularly flexible language. In Texas, こんにちわ means howdy. 😉 (The best known example of this is probably John 21:15-17 in which, according to English versions, Jesus asks Peter the same exact question three times. ("Do you love Me?") This has confused some English readers, but in the original Greek text Jesus asks three unique questions.) But thank you for correcting the romaji.
@bude8234
6 жыл бұрын
I was mainly correcting the Romaji. I used to make that mistake all the time for that word, so it was near and dear to me. :-) I agree translations are flexible, I just added that as an alternate for the reader's benefit. I did not mean to insult you.

Kids in Japan are taught with good manners or values education at early age. They don't judge their kids about their knowledge when they're on kindergarten to grade 2, I think. They first teach them proper manners. I hope all around the world would also imply these education style like in Japan.

This is so beautiful to watch. Honestly it’s somewhat symbolic. It shows how humans behave when politics and race is not an issue. People in the comments should really stop being rude and saying things about American or Japanese people. Why can’t we just all enjoy something for once without arguing and saying which nationality is better?
@richerDiLefto

Rubellite Fae - The Japanese are polite and nice on the surface, but they have serious social issues just like every other human culture on the planet. Many are xenophobic to the point of hiding their children from foreigners and avoiding them on the bus. I don’t hold it too much against them because that behavior is what you would expect from people in a country that was kept private from other types of people for so long, but it’s still quite unpleasant to be on the receiving end of that kind of fear. Foreigners aren’t the only people with the problem. You know about the burakumin, right? They are native Japanese who still endure horrific, disgusting treatment in their own country and they have yet to experience the tolerance and “humanity” you think is so endemic in Japan. I love Japan, but I’m not going to lie to myself and say that it’s perfect, in fact, it’s very far from it. The people there just know how to hide it well from everyone else.

I heard the Japanese word "kawaii" which means "cute". Haha it's cool when you know a few words from a language not your own and you pick them out in someone's speech. Sometimes you only need to hear one word to get the gist of what someone is saying, especially if the word is an adjective.
