Now, Now, we know how Artemis felt when waking in Nada’s simulation after upload. The mind arc. We are Artemis. I want my translator Sean.. mfer ❤ HG 😂- it’s the damn frigate.. that’s the mind arc in reality but in the expedition we see the vessel as a frigate following us.

this whole expedition feels like that the Atlas itself had a rollback to a previous version of itself and it tried to continue the simulation while trying to reverse much of the changes it has been made since, but at the same time it feels like the simulation itself is also having bigger success at fighting back against it, not mentioning the failing hardware of Atlas giving way to potential corruption as well

Yes! I feels like whatever lore we get is getting more and more vague. I’d love something as definitely as even Echoes, at least! Something is certainly off about wherever this expedition finds us. A dream state? Maybe just a glamour?

I have such a love/hate relationship with NMS lore.. Especially as a Day one player. Much of the lore was written by several writers, Greg Buchanan being one of the most influential ones, but it also makes me wonder how much of these do line up with each other. There is also much of the Original Lore removed, which might give us a good idea of what is going on, but sometimes also completely contradicts what we know. It seems the writers of the Lore now are the HG devs themselves, which might be more in line of what they want to achieve, although much of what we learned so far is minimal and very cryptic. I am starting to have a understanding of what might be happening, and who the "players" are... But every time I start shaping up a theory, I read something that completely messes it up... lol. But I also got a feeling we are missing one or 2 more personalities/entities here that have not been dug into yet, and we might have been blind sighted in trying to figure out connections with the "players" we do know.

Beebs! Good to see you! You know it's funny - I honestly have NO recollection of the lore from way back in the release version (I DID just started a "release copy series", but without the day one patches, sadly). I didn't REALLY start paying attention to the lore until I started the channel, even then I only started the LORE series to better help MYSELF understand what was happening - that said, my awareness only dates back to any changes made to the lore from the end of 2022 on. I suppose I'm lucky in that sense. BUT the one MAJOR takeaway I have from the start of this current story arc, is that they ARE taking into account some of what has been laid out previous - back when we were telling everyone that the Autophage were the First Convergence, I WAS a little worried that maybe they would retcon out some of the lore and veer in another direction. So - some parts of the more obscure lore that I think are MOST interesting (Gek war clones, a Korvax going biological again, various cults) I worry we won't see develop any further and MAYBE they'll just be cast as one-offs. BUT some of the broader strokes have through-lines spanning several parts of the lore: Sentinel Pillars, Boundary Failure, Rogue Data, Abandoned Building, Base Computer Archives, etc.. THOSE are the lore threads I suspect they'll continue to pull at. But the personalities - It certainly FEELS like they made a decision to shoehorn the Korvax Prime, Abyss, and Atlantid lore into one main antagonist - which I suppose is the reason those sections of lore feel a bit disjointed at times. The Void Mother narrative definitely works to correct some of her more SEEMLY sinister intentions from the Abyss lore. I don't know that we'll see any additional major players added this late in THIS story arc - but time will tell! I have to say - I only recently noticed in the 1.03 patch notes that Sean Murray is credited with writing story elements with James Swallow, hopefully he's been guarding some of the existing lore through all the updates, as this story FINALLY comes to a head.

I’m dying for more Null lore, they have so much potential as an antagonist. I find it quite interesting that Nada is the only one left on the Space Anomaly. I think that having the rotting corpses of the other Travelers and Polo would be too much, but I don’t know why the Construct and the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion weren’t there, even in a deactivated form. I feel like Hello Games is further hyping up Nada to have some large role in the story going forward. Hopefully we get another permanent story expansion in a few months that answers our questions. Your videos are the best, and I’m excited for the future of this story!

*The Kracken* I just finished Adrift again for second time and I think it was the 4th rendevous point on that planet there was a worm with the head with a Gek Beak. I could look inside it's mouth and the teeth looked like that of a oil derrick drill bit and it had horns all over it's body. In terms of lore, I don't think it's intended to end. It's a simulation that will just move to the next prompt. The more questions that get answered, only begats new questions. It's the art of never finishing. It's similar to Super Mario Bros. So sorry, the princess isn't in that castle. The only real difference is that eventually Super Mario Bros. ended.

@@AustinAirCo That’s the Korvax plaque lore, I know it well. The rest of that passage says “Together they convey the wisdom of the infinite. They must be understood” - The Korvax are postulating over the importance of the monoliths, not giving insight into the nature of their own reality, just their interpretation.

@@GhostLightXE I got that from Atlas playing just yesterday. I know Korvax tends to me more aligned with Atlas, except Priest Nada. So you've got Atlas interpretation, Korvax interpretation, Your interpretation and my interpretation and the back burner Hello Games intention to stir controversy amongst the "simulation" which resets every 16 minutes (one could argue) the reset is a figment of your imagination as nothing really happens in the span of 16 minutes. OR does it? Just more to tell you to keep looking, waiting to see if something wilFoll happen. I've been playing since 2018. If there was a concrete ending to anything in No Mans Sky I would have found it by now. They've only added more loose ends to the story like autophages, now the adrift showing an alternate reality or dimension if you will. Followed up by: Our Journey Continues. mom, dad are we there yet? From alien: getting into the space ship at the end: will we sleep all the way home? The questions are many. Once answered: more questions. Secret sauce from the mind of Sean Murray.

I’d be interested to see that line showing up in and Altas interaction, because it’s not in the game files that way, only the plaques. And the simulation doesn’t reset every 16 minutes, it’s been going to a millennia, it’s just finally breaking down because the Atlas’ physical planet (outside the simulation) is being crushed by a black hole (per the Remembrance Terminal lore). While the Atlas is experiencing those 16 minutes outside of the simulation, we are experiencing a time dilation, so it was much much longer (per Main Story, but so many others as well). I know you’ve been playin since 2018 but the “ending” I speak of generally refers to the ending of this story arc - the Atlantid’s return and trying to get beyond the 16 minutes. THAT ending isn’t in-game yet, the first 3 parts came last year and we expect the final part to happen this summer, hopefully. As for how the game ends, we’ll - that we’ll have to see. I’ve been playing since launch (and now I’m doing a replay series of older versions) and so much has changed and been added to the lore over the years. Nothing in-game currently outlines “The End” of the Atlas but the entirety of the game lore points to it and has been evolving with each update.

I'm so confused. Where was the void mother trapped and how did we release her in the expedition lol 😆 I saw the milestone completed but don't fully understand what I did.
@GhostLightXE

I suspect they meant to sow confusion - as I SUSPECT the Void Mother meant to trick us into releasing her. Perhaps the presence of delta waves means it was a dream, we were sleep walking, and never truly in an alternate dimension.

@@GhostLightXE Interesting, the Void Mother is trapped in the "main game" (the 16 simulation) and now we allowed it to cross boundaries. Frightening.
