This is a clip from our interview with Gillian Higgins, international speaker, author, educator, and equine anatomy expert. Gillian talks about how much more common anatomical anomolies are than we'd tend to think. She also relates these unrecognized anomalies to her personal horse, Freddy. He'd had her and many other expert hands on him for most of his life, and yet she didn't find out until getting his skeleton back that he'd actually had a broken rib and the dorsal process of his last lumbar vertebrae (L6) was oriented backwards of the norm.
