As a Dodgers fan, I find it hilarious that San Francisco banned "Royals" by Lorde. Also, I respected Sharon because of being such a great person on "People vs. Food" but hearing her story about how much she fought for same-sex marriage, it gave me a whole new level of respect for her. You are amazing, Sharon! Nothing will change that.

I find it funny how so many people say that the current generation is "so sensitive," but then, in their days, they tried to ban songs on the radio as well. Here's another addition: The Christmas classic, "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus," was initially banned in Boston because the catholic church believed the song promoted having marital affairs.

I couldn't have agreed with you more on that. I personally feel like "In The Air Tonight" is a love song/break-up song. He married a woman that he thought he loved but things just didn't work out for the two of them and they had to move on from each other and on with their lives by taking separate paths. And that is when Phil wrote this song back in 1981 on his album titled "Face Value". This song being "controversial has NEVER, NOT ONCE crossed my mind. EVER!!!!! I was born an 80's-Head (Thank you Dad for diagnosing me with your 80's Genes at such a young age😅😂🤣) When I hear the word "Air", I think of the stuff that helps you live on this planet. "I don't know" or "maybe" does not give consent, it's not a blurred line. The song promotes non-consensual sexual behavior and women as "teases" or "hard to gets" when declining or being unsure. There can be many reasons why someone is not able to say "no" as an answer (fear for safety, social pressure, being under influence). If you have to coerce or pressure someone to have sex with you or you don't get a clear consent, it is called r*pe.

I don't care one way or another about the song "Blurred Lines" but to say that "No" is an answer but so is "I don't know maybe" really bothers me. Unless you hear a clear, confident "Yes", it's a no. Speaking from experience, someone may respond with something like "I don't know" or "I guess" because they're nervous or scared. They don't want to disappoint you, but they really don't want it. There aren't "Blurred Lines". It's either a clear, confident yes and anything else is no.

I live in San Francisco and had no idea that the song Royals was banned here. As a Giants fan, I can kind of see it wanting to be banned because they were battling with the Kansas City Royals for World Series supremacy at the time.
