All of the videos I have tried to watch all show the grid plane starting from a flat level. How would you go about designing a system that has footings at different levels? By the way, your videos have been the most straight forward and to the point. Thank you

Hi Kevin. This would be based on your UCS location, so either move ucs first or create footing at node of column or create in world ucs and move up or down desired distance.

@@EIRCAD Oh I definitely am, I am really hoping you continue to do the beginners series. I am learning this on my own for work where I detail stairs and rails in AutoCAD normally. The shop is moving towards AS so this class has really been helpful. please continue to make the beginners series! Thanks again!

Hallo Adrian, thanks for your nice videos and they are extremely helpful. I have tried to follow your model and i get problem with clip angle. It seems you have a layer named clip angle and all your connections function the way you want it to be, by which i meant by check for loose parts. On my side it shows all my connections as loose parts. could you please give some explanation or setting on how to make a connection from loose to tied. Thanks again!

Could I ask how you got the UCS to display at the cursor position, and also how you were able to snap to the intersection of the 2 grid lines?
@EIRCAD
6 ай бұрын
Hi Tom, the crosshairs (i have a video for that) is controlled in the "options" "3D Modeling" "Crosshair Labels". To snap to the grid intersections you need to set that in you snaps, turn on grid intersections

Hello. I really like your videos. They do help out a lot. I am wondering how to modify bearing plates that need to be a specific size with 6 bolts spaced out. Do you have a class you teach through zoom or in person?

Hi, can you share how you can edit revision multiple drawing at a time, and drawing number update when change member's mark?. Thank you for sharing.
@EIRCAD

Regarding the revision I use JTB batch edit, you need to pay for it, I don't use it that often as I don't do huge jobs but it is useful (when it works, seems to require license key quite a lot)

*I don't have all the panels open, like the ones on the right side of your screen. "Connection vault", "Tools", etc. I got lost at **12:36**, because I couldn't access the "Platform beams". The panels were turned off by default when I first opened the program so where can I turn these on?*

Hi, If you go to the Home tab top left, you will find the Connection Vault and Tool Palette along the top, just click on them to open, the other palettes I have for Drawing style etc are on the output tab, thanks for watching, good luck
