Great video! 39:41 I would say “Demon Flip” is a great special move but we need to spend more time with it to understand how it works. I have found a lot of great uses for it against zoners-like “Guile”, so I would encourage you to try it against these types of characters. I will say that its sheer utility and mix-up potential makes if a strong special move, but it needs to be used properly to avoid any of its shortcomings. Also, it is a great tool to skip neutral and surprise your opponent without spending bar. The “EX” version will take you straight to your opponent no matter where you are and you can get a free “EX” fireball or “tatsu”. Another thing about “Demon Flip” is its combo potential is great: you can get a lot of great combos without dumping much of your resources using it in the corner in-conjunction with his other great tools. I would say it is similar, if not much better, than Ken’s “Dragonlash” because both have similar uses and shortcomings. “Akuma” is easily the most fun I have had with a character in a fighting game. Even though I am consistently getting my ass whopped by “CPU lvl 8 Guile”, I just keep coming back for more ass whopping to improve my fundamentals. We still have a long way to go with learning “Akuma”, but so far he is top tier.

I needed this guide, i got deejay to masters and felt super comfortable with him but switching to a shoto is such a big difference, deejay is such a quick flowy natural feeling character that i took to, even though ive always loved akuma and have been beating masters with him at least, he still feels stiff and like im struggling what i should be doing idk😅

You can still buffer Demon Input in all of the flame fist if you make the light punches during start up and >LK>HP after the first hit since the first hit keeps them grounded

accessibility doesn't mean making characters braindead easy! just to sell more DLC.. Skill expression is what drives players to continue play, but now Capcom just gave us everything what fun is that.. Akuma use to be a very difficult character to learn especially from ssf4
@padq1183

Not defending capcom but SF4 isint a great example of dificulty because SF4 itself was a very hard game, there was a very clear and big gap between bigeners and good players, im not very good at figthing games even thouge I love them so SF4 was very hard for me and akuma overall i lerned preaty fast his game plan. Now SF3 imo is the perfect example of hard but good, he had a very good toolkit but others where better than him, but once it was his turn he rewards you for knowing how he plays and how good ure general game knowledge is

Just going to add that Akuma in SF3 was the first fighting game character I ever learned combos for. He was not that hard to play at a beginner/intermediate level if you only relied on his basic bnbs. Never played SF4, but I will say he was hard af in alpha 3.

@@chiball and I agree! Character expression and identity is very important in fighting games. Capcom selling us a dlc is everything is already included.. day one player already figure out the best combo routes and oki setups. Well that's it? It's a bad product in my opinion

@@TriNguyen-iu2viBack in those cave man days of no youtube people couldn’t share information as easily as someone like k7 is showing us right now. And when youtube was a thing… easy access to the limited, shaky ass, over the shoulder 360p camera quality footage at arcades that would only SOMETIMES be uploaded to this website. Look I get you’re probably an older dude who misses the “good ol’” days but you have to let it go man. And why can’t we accept that fighting games “being easier” is simply a bi-product of both some level of accessibility AND how quickly information passes around. Idk if you watched the full video, but K7 mentions seeing tech on twitter for the things he’s showing us. It’s not like capcom themselves hand delivered akuma tech to his door step or through an email. You’re twisting the idea way too much here to fit your narrative of why these games are somehow easier. They may be a LITTLE easier compared to older broken fighting games, but let’s not get crazy and pretend like there wasn’t some easily exploitable shit in old fighting games too. And the only reason that not EVERYONE knew of the tech in older games is because shit like that tended to stay exclusive from region to region until they would meet up at events somewhere.

You don’t need to do all that, Akuma carries clueless players to Master rank easily
