Salve Shea! I am studying Italian!! I was a Spanish language learner, but fizzled out at the B2 level. This summer, I was inspired to learn Italian. I will revisit some of your older videos. I have a food blog, so I am trying to speak a little with various business owners to show I care about their culture. Right now I am mostly through the A1 level. Italian is a beautiful language for sure. ❤

Ciao! That’s awesome! I’m so happy to hear that, I’m glad you’re enjoying Italian. Spanish will definitely help you (and sometimes you may mix up Spanish with Italian because they’re so similar!) Happy studying 😊🎉

La tua passione per il perfezionamento dell'italiano è meravigliosa, una persona dedicata, curiosa e non pressappochista, Dio ti benedica 😍😻 Subjunctive's use rules is a grammar part in which even us native Italians have difficulty, I for example often put subjunctive even where it is not needed, but the subjunctive makes our language not two-dimensional, but three-dimensional, more expressive, and certainly not too easy x'D

Speaking of thrillers, a while back, you mentioned a book called The Silent Patient. I finally got around to buying it and WOW! Loved that. (I recommended Jhumpa Lahiri for you, and I'm wondering if you gave her a read?)

Yeah the Silent Patient is so good! Crazy plot twist! I actually have read so many other amazing thrillers I should make a video with suggestions. And not yet, it’s on my list to read her work! Thanks for reminding me, I was gonna do some book shopping this weekend actually 😊

@@SheaJordan Jhumpa's "In Other Words" is all about writing and language, written in both Italian and English. That's the one I started with, but I also liked "Whereabouts." Happy book shopping!
