Nice I spam this in sparring never had it thrown at me, so I don't get why people always get caught with this to the head. Especially in south paw

This is the kick Rose Namajunas threw to KO Weili Zhang for UFC Gold. Super sneaky. Great tutorial as well!

0:50 my god I wish some day I will have that kind of hip dexterity it's quite impressive. I've trained Muay for 4 years but also football for 10, although football kicks have helped me only with front kicks, teeps and spinning back kick, turning the hip was new to me.

It still blows my mind how I still can't get grasp the right left movement. I'm orthodox stance and I need to train my left leg like this. Or change my stance to southpaw to I can utilise my right leg.

I have a karate background, and this is actually really good karate technique. I understand it’s advanced Muay Thai, as they’re used to stepping instead of pivoting their feet, but this is pretty basic karate. Tons of respect though, I’m going to use this my next sparing.

1:50 I dont know what kind of a karate you have trained but in karate there is ulimited amount of variations with roundhouse kick. I just dont undertsand what you are talking about or what weird karate style you have trained? The kick you do after you say karate/TKD kick doesnt work is just a normal karate roundhouse kick. Like I said there is no one right format to do a karate mawasi geri, its all situational is you are in a sparring/fight situation. Have you checked modern karate point karate kumite or Karate Combat matches? There you will see that Im talking about.

There's nothing wrong with that. Being able to use multiple styles and types of kicks is beneficial

Love the emphasis on not switching, but karate lead roundhouse is HIGHLY capable of heavy damage: kzitem.info/news/bejne/mW9jnJOKaZuHpm0 kzitem.info/news/bejne/o3uPraRjp6Kge5g kzitem.info/news/bejne/uGerwJyncYGQhWk Wonderboy has also scored plenty of knockouts with a karate style lead roundhouse.

A common person don't have the power and speed Wonderboy has, so we need a more unpredictable technique.

@@emanuelr.desousa6878 Yes, there is nothing wrong the technique on display, but the comment about the karate/tkd lead roundhouse not having 'respectable' power isn't really valid.

@@marcvic_1595 I don't doubt the power but I guess the sentiment is on a in motion opponent.
