Control engineer here: with those buttons I recommend connecting them to a throttle lever which defines the target for a PID system, you can then use velocity pivots instead of robotic ones along side a sensor on the assembly, allowing you to create a closed loop control system that would give the inputs needed to hold the rails and turney thing at the position you set it. Love the content, really fun, interesting videos, keep it up. Edit: You need a PID or a PI controller and velocity components as the important factor in this situation is the drop, this means that some amount of constant input is required in order to hold the system in the desired position. Doing this requires some amount of integral gain as adding that instantly kills any offset in the steady state of a system. I recommend a PID as it would also fight that weird bounce that it did when it turned the rod upright though due to the lack of destructive physics or wear systems in the game it's not technically necessary for a functional product and ignoring it can save some time in tuning your controller.

Thank you for the detailed and insightful comment :D I will look into getting this added, and logically it makes sense - hopefully it would prevent this type of swing with the mechanics of the game... Glad you enjoy the videos, much appreciated!

This is cool. I didn't know you can put the rods back into the wall clamps, I always handloaded them from the red to the orange clamp one by one
