I teach arms it a bit differently. Say we are doing a left side twist, I’ll have the left arm pull down near left part of chest, elbow in and the right arm pulling down and across the left side into the “pocket” or left hip area. I know there are many right ways and many wrong ways. This is how I achieved a triple myself. I own a new gym in the area, and my girls are just reaching doubles with my technique. I don’t want to fall into the trap of thinking I know everything. I have been coaching tumbling for 12 years and still learn new things. I am thinking of trying this technique out on a few students to test it though.

Look at some elite gymnasts and they twist with there arms down near the hips witch is the center of your body and you can twist easier and faster but everybody has there own way of coaching and each gymnast responds different
