Had this for a few years. Pack up and set up required an extra ladder as I had it on top of a Delica. The tent was brilliant. Warm, waterproof, sturdy. Camped in heavy snow and it held up the weight. I packed it up wet a few times, and when set up again a few weeks later there was no mould or mildew and the water was still beading on the outside. Interior was always dry and never musty. I discovered the 6 man annex wasn't remotely water proof though. It was always an indoor swimming pool if it rained at all. I'd done a few road trips around NSW with the tent. Setting up and packing up every day got a little tiresome. Few years later it started developing a bit of wear and tear. Straps breaking, the floor began creaking and cracking, buckling. But for the cost of it, I got a lot of use out of it before it needed replacing. I upgraded to the Tourer X a few months ago. It doesnt feel as big on the inside as the original Tourer, but it's not a bad tent. Can't leave blankets and pillows inside like you can with the tourer though. Has to be emptied.

Good to hear I'll get a bit of use out of the tent mate Note taken though, I'll try not to set up the annex in heavy weather 👍

I am looking at options for a trailer and looking at installing adjustable height legs or a design that can allow the tent to free-stand. thought of getting some modular storage racks that can act as stands when required, thus giving me more layout options and freeing up the car.

Missing are the options to bolt the tent to the roof rack? Could you design it so that you could set up the tent as a stand-alone if you wanted to leave the tent standing when you want to use the car and retain your camping spot? I am thinking of using it with a trailer but in the meantime use the roof rack

Great review mate, it shows realistic time setting it all up and packing it down (providing that it is all empty 🤣😁👍). I've got the same kit myself and have enjoyed how it works together and the amount of space you have for the family in there. Looking forward to your next vid! Cheers 🍻

Thanks for the video. I’d be interested to know how you installed the ozroo tub rack, because it looks like you have an electric shutter. Is that an EGR shutter? I’m being told that I have no chance of installing a tub rack to hold a rooftop tent on an EGR roller because it won’t hold the weight. I have an EGR roller on a BT50 Thunder. Any guidance would be handy. Cheers and thanks.

I've had no issues so far mate, everything is under the roller cover which isn't 100% leak proof but all electronics are off the tub floor

Haven't noticed much with day to day driving (even mix of built up areas and 80kph roads), usually sitting around 10-10.5L/100km. On a recent trip up north though going 110kph fully loaded it crept up to 11.5L/100km. Looking to get a roof rack at some point and possibly put a cowling on the front to help with the drag. The tent is at perfect height for the annex so I wouldn't change that. Watch this space!

@@Shenanigans4x4 Is it a 2.2? That's good economy. EDIT: I see it's a 3.2. 10.5 litres per 100 is excellent. I get like 13-14 around town.
