Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services across Wales engage with a national adventure therapy programme, which encourages people experiencing psychosis to participate in experience-based initiatives to improve their wellbeing and recovery.
That has recently seen groups of people recovering from psychosis scale Pen y Fan, take on stand up paddleboarding and getting out into the woods.
They’ve fed back that undertaking the challenge alongside people they can relate to has helped to rebuild their confidence, enjoy socialising, and take steps towards recovery.
