In this video, Neha offers some useful tips for your interview. Here's what she had to say:
Firstly, be on time. Better yet make sure you join the call or arrive to the interview at least 5 minutes early. This is especially helpful when it’s a virtual meeting so you can fix any technical issues.
Next, dress to impress. Even in a virtual interview. When you look good, you feel good. Make sure your phone is on silent and there are no distractions around you. Tell your roommates or parents that you have an interview and would appreciate if they could keep your pets at bay and not disrupt you.
Remember that you’re always essentially answering the question, “Why should we hire you?" Make sure you listen to the interviewer's questions fully without interrupting and answer questions thoroughly. If you don’t understand a question, ask the interviewer to repeat it.
Interviewers are looking for eager individuals with a good attitude, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and commitment to the role. Do your research to prepare for the interview and show you’re excited about the opportunity.
Have questions prepared for your interview. This can be about the industry, the interviewers, the role, performance reviews or anything else relevant to the job. As much as they’re interviewing you as a potential employee, you’re interviewing them as a potential employer.
Thank you and I hope you found my advice helpful!
