Mass public shootings, like other forms of gun violence in the United States, continue to be a cause for concern. While research has delved into the prevalence, characteristics, and potential causes of these tragedies, less is known about the people who survive them and how they work toward resiliency.
In a new research project by the Regional Gun Violence Research Consortium at the Rockefeller Institute of Government, survivors from nearly 50 communities impacted by mass shootings were surveyed to better understand their experiences.
In this video, hear from 10 survivors of different mass shootings about their experiences and what advice they have for others who are impacted by these tragedies.
