~ excerpted from "Unity and Uniqueness" (2017): adyashanti.ope...
"First of all, it doesn't mean never being angry...if we can get over being intimidated by our own anger, if we feel angry and we can really go into the energy of it, an interesting thing about a lot of anger, the energy of it can provide incredible clarity...
...when we really open to emotions, we can start to experience the full spectrum of them. For instance, the full spectrum of grief. When you really let go at a moment of grief and you really just let it rip inside, you really just surrender to the experience as subtle or strong as it may be, within the core of grief is also the experience of this tremendous kind of love...when it's experienced fully, there's this other really really beautiful part that reconnects you...
...then we start to experience more the full spectrum of a given emotion and the full spectrum of any given emotion tends to include its opposite, and as soon as we experience its opposite to go along with it, we feel humanly reconnected..."

About "Unity and Uniqueness" Ithaca Aug 2017 Intensive:
The depth of spiritual inquiry is not just about the revelation of unity beyond separation -- it's also about the discovery of unity experiencing and expressing itself both as unity and individuality. In this 5-download set of the 2017 Ithaca Intensive, Adyashanti encourages us to strip away everything we know about ourselves and life. It is in opening to the domain of the unknown that enlightened recognition can arise and we can perceive the ever-present, nameless unity of all existence as well as its ever-unfolding, unique expressions.
