is this a new concept with diesel RC engines? how does it work? 2 stroke and carburetor or is it direct injection 4 stroke? or is it just the same as methanol driven RC egnines?
@bobcrow214

As stated in the title this engine uses the diesel principle with a simple carburettor and 2 stroke cycle. This is not a new concept has been around for decades and was very common in the 1950 /1960

cute! so you can attach this to a tiny model plane? i guess you wouldn't unless you could accurately steer such a plane, haha

It can be done, by radio control. But this type of small diesel engines are normally use in free flight model aeroplanes when, as the name implies, they are free to fly wherever they want! Ha Ha

Mahmoud Habib diesel requires no electric power. It is a compression engine. The compression produces heat that ignite the fuel. This is why diesel engines are so much better than petrol engines.

I really do not understand why petrol engines are even made anymore. Diesel engines are so superior. There are some nations that demonise the diesel engine. I do not understand why.

PCVideos In High Definition Of course there will be bad diesels also. That is the same as petrol engines. The antigel additive works great but it is easy to forget to add it in winter. There are some negatives. Have you ever seen a diesel runaway? But over all, the diesel engine is better in many other aspects.

Indrid Cold diesels only run away if they have a turbo. A supercharger would fix this but I haven't seen a supercharged diesel since the old Detroit semi motors.
@MegaElkHunter1

Kristoffer Persson they are only easy to start because of how small they are and new American diesels start just as easy. The reason they used to be hard to cold start was because glow plugs weren't as good as they are today and the old sulfur diesel would gel up easily in the cold and the motor wouldn't make enough compression from the electric starter to ignite the gelled diesel.
