Spent a lot of my youth on the classic lorry circuit in in Mk5 MM with my dad, that engine sound brings back memories. It was owned by Alan Firmin, it was also a tanker at some point. Great job on the rebuild, hope it's still going strong

My father drove for federated transport in the 1970s name Bob H Askey, drove a Ford D10000 v8 engine also Atkinson ERF sadly past away November 1974

Probably a av590 6 cylinder diesel,

Done a fair few miles on the passenger seat of that lorry with my Father at the wheel. It had Barworth Haulage on the door then. Great times, great adventures. Well done, she looks good.

Hi David my father also drove one of these for Barworths before getting a volvo f86 TFU266H.I think I can vaguely remember your dad jim
