I’ve had horrible luck with expert voice. I’m a veteran and went with the aero complete upper and lower. I got the Nightforce ATACR 4-16X42 for $2200 with military discount. it’s MSRP is like $2800.

Rusty, You have good taste... Our receiver group is identical including the buffer assembly. However I choose the Aero BCG ( I couldn’t find a Faxon BCG to match the Faxon barrel). I also like a 1 stage trigger and I put in a Timney 4LB. I’m curious as to who makes the Aero BCG… I thought they made them…I may be more hung up on this subject that necessary but I like the idea of the bolt being made at the same place as the barrel. Aero BCG was my second choice….

Aero makes their own BCG. I got the Ballistic Advantage barrel and BA BCG together for the same reason. Aero actually owns BA, so it’s the same company

Rustyoneil/ First Aero build on YT I've seen that's mostly Aero products. I did a .308 & I would say it's apx. 90% Aero. Nice build!👍

Thank you. I tried to keep it close to the actual M5E1 build. I made this video primarily to show that you could do that build yourself, with better parts for cheaper than buying the fully assembled rifle from online or at a gun store. I enjoy putting guns together.

“Guy-zlee” is how you pronounce it. Not gazelle, lol although it may be an animal of a trigger.

Yup, got it now. I mistakenly heard someone else say it and got stuck repeating it. I have been properly counseled on the correct pronunciation, but I do have to do 20 push ups every time someone makes this comment, to learn from my mistakes.

I built the same AR-10 in the same caliber, but I found the weight too much 14.5 pounds. I ordered a carbon fiber barrel reducing the weight down to 11 pounds from the 20” barrel to 24” BSF barrel.

It’s a beast of a rifle. I think the exact same thing, but I’m not hunting with it, so I can forgive the weight. Just use it for long range shooting

There is a company making the AR-10 completely out of titanium and it weighs only 5.5 lbs (sans scope and bipod). It's a little pricey though, around $4,500 ish from what I've heard.

Rudolph...Buddy? You built a 14.5 pound AR 10? My Aero based M5 came in at 8lbs 4 Oz and I was hardly trying. Good luck humping that beast around. Here's my Asstube vid if you'd care to see it... I just finished with her last week. kzitem.info/news/bejne/mJCb345mh6FyY2U

What length did you go with for the atlas handguard? I want to do a 12 inch but idk if that will cover a riflelength gas block
This is a 42x12 and I should have gotten the 46”. This barely fits my AR10, but fits. If you get a longer barrel or longer suppressor it won’t fit. Absolutely a great bag and does everything I need it to. Holds my AR15 and AR 10 with no problems
