Steven Tyler has done a lot to bring awareness to sexual abuse. Started with this song & continues until this day.

I didn't know that; but I could always certainly tell that he and his daughter, Liv, are very close. So, I supposed that would extend to his being protective of his daughter(s?). My dad, whom I lost just a few months ago, never got in fights; guys loved him, as well as the ladies, because he was so easy going and funny. HOWEVER, he said if anyone hurt one of his 4 daughters or 4 granddaughters - - you know, severely, like r8pe, maim, or kill - - he'd kill them without hesitation.

It’s a powerful song. She was being sexually abused by her father. A bullet to the brain seems like some karmic justice to me.

Awww....Janie wasn't savage! She just blew away the monster who sexually abused her for years! "The man was such a sleaze..." "The man has got to be insane..."....kind of gives it away what he did. Liked the video and loved your reaction

Great reaction! I loved watching the moment when the meaning of the song hit you. Looked like a punch to the gut. Aerosmith had a HUGE impact on girls in the 90's. I love rock & roll, but no other band was telling women's stories like that. Their Cryin' video in '93 changed my life!

Luckily people did believe me when I finally told about my abuse after eight years. I don't know if that's because I'm a guy and there's a double standard. I never ever considered shooting my stepdad. But I understand how many victims get pushed to that especially when they aren't believed. Great song.

Wow, you were so lucky. Thank goodness you got out of that. Most of the time, men aren’t taken seriously when we try to talk about abuse maybe if it was parental abuse, then people generally treat both genders the same

They had the change the lyric from "He raped a little bitty baby". So yeah, that baby grew up to kill her abuser. That's how it goes sometimes if justice doesn't prevail.

Words are censored in radio/video version. When they do it live Steven always changes back to original lyrics instead "he jacked little bitty baby" it goes "he ra**d little bitty baby". Also it "she put a bullet in his brain"

Yeah, dark subject, but I looked at it as Janie taking the power back. CSA happens way too often in families and the victims need to know we are with them. Perpetrators: we’re onto you and there will be a reckoning.
