Fun fact.. if you put the fan face down, then press down on the hub from behind, the blade will come off much more easily.

I've done that with the old models, but I've found the new ones are too thin. The flimsy struts just bend and the blade hits the table, still attached to the shaft.

Neat seeing how different blades perform on that motor! I couldn’t help but laugh when the motor brace bent in when you tugged on the metal blade. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen a box fan motor brace bend with such ease, that must be some really cheap, low gauge metal!

@@JordanU thanks Jordan. I recently got an Eskimo 12 inch box fan (McGraw Edison rebrand) and I oiled it with 30w non detergent and it works well. However I can’t remove the wicks or the bushings as the cups are riveted in. My only concern is the motor is very very hot after running on high for a short period of time (10-15min) I was thinking the bearings were getting super hot but they’re well oiled and spin very freely. Could the motor just be on its way out (drawing too many amps?) or perhaps this motor runs hot by design and I shouldn’t worry. Great channel!!

Had I guess maybe either typed or almost typed and as I was found some corrections or so it fckin/fcking or so went away😤😤😤 🤬but anyway I was wondering wheee you got that from or if they larger sizes than that??? Because I need 1/one for my dads old box fan from his work. I think it’s maybe an newer modern model or so/something like that??? But when we brought it home last week...ahh/ugh. Not last week but some time last year or so, I think maybe for either spring break or maybe for our family beach trip or so??? Yeah I think that was it, but anyway I had it on our front porch from being in side or so and when I would I guess maybe carry it around or so the food or maybe feet??? No I think maybe just foot or so/maybe something like that? But anyway it already had a crack or I guess maybe small reach or so on the circle part thst holds the blades And it kept calling off (meaning the foot and I didn’t know)...but anyway it fell off and I didn’t know it and maybe after a few times or so the fan blew itself over and 1/and or one of the bosses broke off when it was running or so like the centrifugal force was already putting I guess maybe some pressure into it or so/maybe something like that, and the fall was just too much or so. But I have a 3 bladed model air plane propeller on it or so but kinda want either a bigger propeller? And or the same fan blade that originally came with it...(I guess I could’ve said a replacement or so, and or a blade like that or in that style or bigger. Oh yeah and or a metal blade that will be able to be spun by the motor or so
