Aethel: the dubstep producers are not real, they can't hurt you. The Dubstep Producers: From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal. Even in death I serve the Omnissiah

The explanation of dubstep being his favourite genre explained some things while the songs were super cool I will admit I kind of hoped that there would be some non electronic style songs like metal or an attempt for choral sounding stuff. But maybe that’s just my own music tastes. Also probably harder to make music out of a streamer with my favoured genres

I fiddled with FL Studio once, many years ago. Unfortunately, all I could do was listen to the sample tracks. I had no instruments with which to create my own audio clips. Someday in the future I'd like to make original songs, but right now, I don't have the budget for anything beyond free software that can be used with just a computer.
@aghawkz
Жыл бұрын
FL Studio has an unlimited free trial, literally the only restriction (excluding plugins) is that you can't reopen saved files after closing them - but if you leave your computer on, it's perfectly okay. Another option is to turn your individual track channels (i.e. separate the instruments) into sound recordings, so you can just drag-and-drop each individual instrument from the last time you had your project open. This does mean you won't be able to change melodies/notes and such (of those individual instrument recordings), but it still means you can cut, chop, change, and edit the songs quite extensively still. You can still add effects, hell, you can even just note down the settings of your various synths/instruments/samples and recreate them whenever you open your project next, and simply write the notes back in (provided you took note of them or know what they were). As for instruments, a lot of third-party software and synth plug-ins give free trials and such, and a fair bit of FL's own suite is completely open for use as well. Now these obviously aren't anything amazing, but it's a LOT considering it's literally free indefinitely. On top of that, there are TONS of free sample packs out there. Cymatics is the first that springs to mind, and there's Ghosthack (actual music/audio company) if you're looking for more dubstep-esque sounds. A load more are out there, too, and they're pretty easy to find. I very much recommend giving it a go. Anything people have made in FL can be made in the free version, it's just a little more difficult/convoluted and restrictive, so requires some workarounds. It's (imo) by far one of the easiest DAWs to learn and get the hang of, and while it's one of the best on the market for when you feel comfortable enough in putting money towards it, you can absolutely produce the music you want without paying a single penny. It's what I did for nearly two years, making music on my awful, outdated pc, before having the funds to upgrade pc and buy FL proper. There's also the option to buy cracked versions, but those are obviously third-party and have issues with recognising certain plugins and stuff, if I remember correctly. Didn't really feel worth it considering the eternally-free demo version that's more than enough with a few workarounds.

>I had no instruments with which to create my own audio clips FL has its own instruments since version 2. (version 1 was basically a midi drum machine) Pianoroll exists since version 3 (so in 2 melody editing wasn't very handy).
