In this video I review the AF Archery SciCai bow. This one is a well crafted bow, and the website pictures do not do it justice. The bow is made of black and white ebony wood, also known as Pale Moon Ebony wood. Other materials used in construction of the bow are bamboo, and bear paw glass fiber. The scias are reinforced with what looks to be Ox Horn overlays, the same as the Tatar bow by AF Archery.
The website description showed the bow to be 130 cm in total length (51 inches), when measured the bow was actually 60 inches in total length. The bow length may have been listed in error, but it also could be the way the measurement was taken. The draw weight I ordered was listed at 35 lbs. draw weight on the bow it was noted as being 37 lbs. draw weight at 28 inches . Total max draw length is 34 inches. No hand shock to note when shooting. Draw cycle is good and I did not experience any stacking or hitting a wall at my full 30 inch draw. The length and draw weight are something to be mindful of if you order one.
Overall impressions with the bow - a great bow is well worth the money spent for it. It is not an entry level bow by any means, coming in at 439 dollars USD. I would rate this bow on the higher quality scale.
Based on personal experience with the two bows by the company in my collection, I can say that AF Archery has quality offerings. You opinion and experience with there bows may differ.
