Brilliant - I enjoyed doing it alongside, especially when the results/options differed and I had to go back to check what settings I was missing... Thanks!

Hi there! This is an amazing tutorial, thank you! When I press Shift+Command (Shift+Ctrl in Windows), it draws the circle not in the isometric area, but gives me a perfect circle on a flat 2D space, as it does when you don't have an isometric, even though the circle boundaries are still oriented on the grid. How could I fix this?

Wow brilliant ! May I ask if you have a particular method for creating the gradients that give the metallic look ? Or is it just random ?
@ArtistWright
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Valentin, I think about where the light source would be and how it would react with the item, take a look at those items in real life. Ofcourse, sometimes I start creating randomly and experiment until I think it looks OK.

@@ArtistWright thank you for taking the time to answer. There were some moments I had trouble “seeing” where the light source would be, particularly between the top and the body of the soda can, but I need to pay more attention and try to do it along the video to get the hang of it

Well in Affinity Designer you would have to play around with the nodes to get the correct perspective etc. But if you have Affinity Photo you can edit the same file in there and play with the mesh tool and warp to get the desired result. Perhaps I'll make a tutorial in the future. Thanks for watching

This is the easiest gradient tool i have handled yet. It still gives a headache, but we will overcome

I would make the bottom of cylinder a bit narrower. Even though the grids are are correct, it’s mathematically wrong.
