@@lisamccann1081 Evening: I double cleanse with La Roche Posay Toleriane cleansing lotion and Eucerin dermatoclean cleanser. After that I put on Cerave retinol serum, Eucerin ph5 cream, and petrolatum as the last step. Morning: Usually no cleansing or actives at all, just sunscreen. Maybe once a week I start my day with a salicylic acid cleanser (Eucerin), but then I have to pair it with both moisturizer and sunscreen - SA is super drying on me this time of year.

Thank you for your comment. I’ve been dealing with kp on the back of my arms since childhood and now that I’m doing light therapy for my vitiligo (which has given me some amazing results), my kp has worsened. I have to be careful with products that may further damage my skin, which leads to further pigment loss (koebner phenomenon). I’ll take kp anyday over vitiligo though! I will definitely try the Eucerin.

From an outdoorsy Montanan: Best winter-proof cream I've tried other than ole Henriksen strength trainer peptide something (which is also on sale rn but wayyyyy more $) -- Gold Bond Crepe corrector/neck & chest firming cream (theres 2 very similar products, one is a much better deal). These are, ofc, not doing anything but hydrating the crepey skin. They should call it Winter Rescue instead. First 5 ingredients: water, urea, glycerin, dimethicone, petrolatum. Mic drop right there! Nice formulation, feels like a much pricier cream, and it does it's job. Just spent five hours door dashing in cold, very icy wind, and my skin is in great shape!

Happy New Year Uncle Charlie! I do the opposite! I buy a carton of ultra ripe bananas for AU$2.50. I make banana bread/cake/muffins to store in the fridge & freezer. The fruit store keeps the "unsellable" bananas out the back, because they look dismal and have an intense banana aroma (the best type for baking). Surprisingly, they are still all yellow inside. Then it's up to me how much cane sugar I need (or don't need) to add. It is great to have banana treats on hand for a quick breakfast, work lunch or snack. I hope you are thriving & jiving. 👱🏻♀️❤️

As for sunscreen I'm into that LRP anthelios kids spf 50+ fragrance free. But the advance repair lotion vaseline is always there in my skincare basket 😊. I liked your repeated and past advice on products we can use both for face and body. Listening to your guidance I recently bought a few creams that said face and body. One was Vaseline sensitive care (it’s not cheap though) and new one they came out with this year. This said Body and I tried on my face and body. I found it too heavy for face but perfect for body. For face it still clogged my forehead somehow, I got a pimple the next day. So I’m using it only for body. Then I bought a new cream that said Face and Body (heparin cream), that was very good. I love this one. It has heparin plus vaseline and mineral oil, it’s pretty nice. My esthetician told me once when my skin is hydrated it would feel cold to the touch and it’s true. I felt my cheeks cold to the touch even after I woke up in the morning and my skin looked so dewy and refreshed. I think a cream that says Face and Body is pretty good usually. I learned something new. Thanks doc.

Awesome video....i love your minimalistic approach to skin care. I have rosacea and very well tolerate cera ve thick cream on damp skin on my face. It takes can of the dryness that very low dose accutane has given me over the years. 20mg accutane every other day and cera ve cream has given me life back. Dr.Dray, i would love to use polyhydroxy acids, do you think urea in eucerin repair is okay for me? I loved your idea of using eucerine ubiquinone cream on my face, i really wanted to love it and tried multiple times on different days but it makes my facial skin itch. I don't have active rosacea anymore but still things can sting. My neck is very eczema prone and loves the Cera ve pm with niacinamide but my face can't tolerate it. Please advise some PHA to gentle exfoliation. Glycolic acid night renewing cream, although very low percentage AHA, made my face red as a tomato 😢
