@terrythekittieful

Loved Jacko when he played for Geelong and I am a Geelong follower. Taking away his comic antics he was actually a very capable full forward. These days we talk of PC, but back then, as of now, the PC came from the stiff conservative right winged establishment who didn't want his type of behaviour to upset the image of modern Australian football. There was one ageing gent on Harry Beitzel's radio team that couldn't stand him, it wasn't Tommy Lahiff (are you there Tommy?), got a feeling the bloke's name was Bill Jacobs (?). His coach, the legendary Tommy Hafey did back him though. He (Jacko) didn't give a fuck and this was his undoing. Good on him for being himself.

Who'd have thought that these mighty aussies would have allowed themselves to be thrown into a CONvid19 84 police state, beyond sad

They allowed themselves to be thrown into isolation during the Spanish flu pandemic. So when exactly were Aussies mighty? The world has always been sad. Stop watching so much TV.

Yeah, let's celebrate bogans and criminals instead of the decent people who made a sacrifice for their mates, family and neighbours. The lockdown was an amazing show of Aussie values, putting the welfare of others above our own needs. If you're not prepared to do something like that for your fellow Aussie, get the fuck out of our great country.

Nothing. He hates Sheahan & few other journos from the '80s because they suggested that his notoriety as a player & an appearance at the tribunal caused the heart attack that killed Jacko''s old man. Understandable when you know context. Jacko warned Sheahan but Sheahan insisted he come on the show.

Nothing compares to Chopper's Kerry-Anne non appearance. 11th hr panic saw plans to have him live switched, to him appearing from the Melbourne office via v-link. Alan Jones, the king of radio and most likely the instigator for that decision sat grinning from ear to rear waiting to destroy Chopper as it went to air. I won't spoil it, safe to say it was over in moments, and Alan wished he'd never agreed to appear.
