I happened to meet Ted Bundy waiting in a Saturday morning gas line waiting for a Texaco to open. It was just a couple weeks before his yellow VW became known as a hearse for young women in the press. We chatted for 10-15 minutes, and he was a sharp and well read individual. When I found out who he was later, it completely floored me.

but these people in the public kept yelling "burn bundy!!" and acting fools outside , like the purpose of execution is for fun and games , and entertainment; so they're largely to blame. im of the opinion, that if an execution method , leaves people jovial enough to laugh and dance about it, then we need to find a more appropriate much scarier method that will effectively pop those grins right off their faces and make them get serious about some maturity in life. ....might help them learn to control that anger management problem too, because that (in most cases) is exactly what lands people in that situation. we usually like to paint up our "killers/inmates" as extremely dark and scary people, but in actuality , there actually are some very nice well mannered death row inmates in there , that would normally never think to do something like that, but... all it takes is one split second of not thinking.

I was watching this and at the instant when they threw the switch on Ted the light over my desk flickered, for the first time.

Ted was a bad man. But this is full of shit. Reporters that was there saying he was very calm and had a grin on his face right to the end. So if people are going to make films make them properly

This is bullshit. He didn’t cry at all. He was composed, and supposedly was smiling. This man had no emotions to show.

Witnesses at his execution said that his legs buckled when he saw the chair. They say he looked scared. He knew it was the end.

daryl D I guess there are many stories, because I heard he gave up when he realized there was no way out.

I think this depiction is melodramatic nonsense. The accounts of reporters and actual witnesses to the event said that for the most part he was calm, but when he saw the chair for the first time he was momentarily taken aback, but then immediately composed himself. I actually wish the event did cause him this much anguish, but it just didn't happen.

Megan, I don't think the movie is Ted Bundy. There's another scene on KZitem involving his execution.

If I were there I'd say teddy bear ( I'd nickname him that) it will be ok. I want you to know I dont hate you, I hope you leave this life knowing one person cared about you. He'd be like yeah right. I'd be like I'm serious about that. He'd be like ok then. Also he was caught in my hometown and at a local restaurant.
