affirmative action only works, with good structures and foundations in place. Think all the people employed went to university and technical colleagues as well as had the right mentoring and passion. All affirmative action should do is skip the networking or social connections required for the tools, It also shouldn't replace skilled talent & experience that is already there.

You do know that not everything has to be about race and gender right?Those things do not determine intelligence.
@kamogelomothibe6417

@@spheleleNgubane-wf4de if it wasn't about race and gender, (which the history of our country under the regime and colonial era suggests actually is), we wouldn't be having this convesation right now. the intentional motive for implementing affirmative action exists because of the unjust system that was adopted long before some of us were born and continues to affect a majority of the demographic. eveyone recognised by the state of RSA - given equal opporunities, shared wealth and mentorship can aquire the same level of 'intelligence' and this is what we seek to be redressed.

@@mackyj7801 "networking" or "social connections " are the privilages the minority demographic have enjoyed for 60+ years at organisations like SANSA. this is long before the RSA's current constitution came into effect and adopted affirmative action to remedy for that which was done wrong by the previous administration.

www.sansa.org.za/ The Hartebeeshoek facility, managed by the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), plays a crucial role in space operations. Here’s what you need to know: Space Operations at Hartebeeshoek: The Hartebeeshoek facility, nestled in the quiet and remote Magaliesburg mountain range at an elevation of 1553 meters, provides an excellent horizon mask for tracking low-orbit satellites and supporting low-elevation acquisitions. SANSA Space Operations manages and maintains over 84 locally installed antennas and numerous ground stations on-site. These include full-motion TT&C (telemetry, tracking, and command) antennas and remote sensing systems across various frequency bands, including S-band for mobile support. With over 60 years of operation, Hartebeeshoek has become one of the most sought-after ground stations globally, known for its reliable performance and reputation as the top TT&C tracking station in Africa. Services Provided: SANSA offers a wide range of services and data products to local and international organizations, governments, businesses, and the academic community. These services include Earth observation data products, international launch monitoring, and space weather information provision.

Now tell me again that South Africa is malfunctioning under the black majority rule and the nonsense about white people taking us back to colonial era. South Africa is multiracial country with every race well represented in every spheres and facilities that drive this country forward. In this my favorite KZitem very channel, check out a video of the manufacturing of the Prasa trains by South Africans engineers mostly young female and black South Africans with other races working peacefully. Thank you my brother for your timelessness in showing the rich and diverse wealth of South African infrastructure. Great video as usual and LivingInSATV is still my favorite

You know it's south African when everything is about race. As a Namibian I just hate the race disease that South Africans bring to our country. People all over the world have already established that people from different races can work together to get things done, it just in South Africa where it's view as some kind of accomplishment.
@mbusocele1558

True. When you listen to world news they say black people are tearing south africa apart, this is africa, swing a stick and it hitsba black person, they are everywhere. So why is it so surprising that most crimes, hardships, smartest, dumbest, and all things that can be measured you find theres alot of blacks... but the things that keep the country together and that keeps certain industries running is unity between black, white and all other races. The hate is in the media, on the ground we are family and are working hard for this country not to fall apart. Someone somewhere is probably thinking South Africa doesn't have a facility like this. Look into the history of Houwteq near Grabouw and the rocket SA was developing for polar orbit launches from Arniston. It is an interesting rabbit hole to go down. Just imagine how amazing it would have been if we had our own operational rocket launch facilities, putting our own SA built satellites in space
@tylerdurden3722
Ай бұрын
Overberg, Arniston was used (and is still being used by foreign clients) for missile testing. The "space program rockets" was just a cover for nuclear ICBM testing. When the nuclear program was abandoned, building and testing ICBMs (aka "satellite rockets") became obsolete, so that was abandoned too. South Africa isn't the best location for launching things into orbit. (on the equator, on the east coast of a continent, with a large ocean on that coast, is the ideal)
