I think the growth is also due to the twists (protective gentle styling), and also less manipulation (if you're leaving the twists in for at least a week). That will reduce breakage, and therefore the hair will retain length. Whether you used those three products or just any ole shampoo and grease. That's just what I think anyway. Because my 4c hair as a child was down to my tailbone when stretched also. All my mom did was wash with some sulfate shampoo, and grease it with bergamot/Dax, and put it in cornrows or braids for a week or two. Take it down and repeat. It worked.

I would love to hear your thoughts on Suave Professionals line. I used to use Creme of Nature. Due to the shutdown and hair supply stores being closed, I picked up a bottle of Suave Almond and Shea Butter. Recently my mother commented that my hair was getting so long. I never thought a cheap shampoo would work on my hair. Now I'm trying out their conditioner. I'm on the lookout for a deep conditioner from this line.

Hi! I'm scared to switch shampoo since the one I'm currently using is working for me. You know Suave has been around for a long time. I'm all for using cheap but good products. I know they have the packets of the deep conditioner at Wal-mart.

I normally use the Creme of Nature sulfate free shampoo and deep conditioner. I’m growing my hair out from relaxer damage. I can’t do a big chop because of my bald spot. Since switching shampoos the spot is filling in and I’m getting length on the hair I still have left.

Hi! To be honest, I really don't know. I've really never taken time to figure it out. I just make sure to wash her hair with hot water (as hot as she can stand) to make sure the products are removed. I do know she has really thin strands.
