As black ppl we make things difficult on ourselves mentally. One day i said forget all the youtube videos and teachings and just sat down with my mother and asked her about our family tree. First thing she mentioned was my grandmother & great grand. She told me they were from a Cherokee reservation in NC. I look at pics of them as well as my grands on my dads side and they have a reddish tint to their skin and hair or straight jet black hair. The answers are there yall, you just gotta start at home. If youre fortunate enough to have your elders around still, take the time to sit with them and find out for yourself...and youll see the info like what this brotha is providing lines right up with our real time family tree stories.

Black people in the Americas should look at themselves and ask who do they look like? we don't look like any particular group of black people, why is that? when you go to another continent and see another similar black person you can tell who is from the Americas because we have a distinct look, we don't look like we're from Mali, Nigeria, Congo, Solomon Islands, Australia, Fiji, when you go to these places they can't place us as from there country because we look different as do they to us, this is because we are from the Americas. Look at the nose from the lecturer, that nose is not really found in African countries, it's not white that's for sure, I have a good idea and I suggest black people look at their own families and see who they are similar to? put an afro on him and there is not one country in Africa he will look similar to the people with, but the verbal conditioning well tell people to see him as African.....but he's not.

How do black People have the same exact skin complex, hair strands, organs and phenotype? Who ever wants to make the distinction between black folks in America and Africa. Please explain how people product the same exact protons, neutrons and electrons? . The sad part is those who make this silly argument, can’t travel back any further than the moors in this Country. Look again because we don’t look alike. Our phenotype is different as well as our hair texture. Skin folk aren’t always kin folk. Do you honestly believe those Asian looking Native Americans can be aboriginal? Aborigines are black because there the original people, the first people. 🙄 It’s not a silly argument. The slave trade makes no sense. How does 400 shackles passengers survive months trip without getting illnesses and getting blood clots in their legs from laying so long? Laying for so long will cause that and even if it didn’t, you would relearn how to walk after so many months of just laying down. How do they survive puking on one another, pooping on one another, peeing on one another? How did they have another food supply for the crew and passengers? Where are all the 12,000 boats? There were boats that supposedly launched during the era of photography yet there’s no photos of events or boats. Why? Where are the actual remains of these boats? Submerged wood doesn’t rot, these boats should still exist. It’s only been around 160 years since slavery officially ended. There is no hard evidence of anything. There are more Native Americans than people think, or there are less Black people than people think. If Steph Curry, Beyonce, etc. are Black, then George and Mario Lopez are Native American. They look a hell of a lot like the earliest portraits of Native Americans (e.g., Ninigret, Tee Yee Neen Ho Ga Row, & Tishcohan to name just a few) and they look a lot more Native than many folks on reservations. Exactly how long do you think the slavery would have lasted without the gun. Colonialism would not have even occurred. We are not inferior, but the Europeans did have a superior weapon. Since everyone wants to be identified with beauty and success, what makes you think you are going to be taught what it takes for you to love your self and people. You guys are a product of the Slave trade and DNA proves it and will trace it. Indigenous Mexicans and other Native American tribes are dark skinned but they are not african slaves. They are Indigenous Native Americans. Do a DNA test to see where you come from. Most blacks are shocked to see that they are actually from Africa. Nice video and good point. I am African and I really get what you are saying. I might have a different opinion as to why Africans and African Americans might have different views of life today. It is important to know that these stereotypes are wrong and are recent stereotypes. Africans had been slaves in Africa just as you all African Americans were slaves in America. The 2 largest economies in Africa only gained its independence from colonial masters about 54 yrs ago. Which means they had been slaves all through the colonial era. Freedom only came when some Africans came to America to study and saw African Americans fighting back and causing laws to be changed in their favor. The Africans took these ideas back to African and started various movements that freed countries like Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. This was the history most of the Africans had before coming to live or study in America. The story of the civil rights movement and great accomplishment of the African American for years. You are right that there is a disconnect. I don't know where it all got twisted because most of our leaders in Africa who liberated the Continent from the Europeans were members of the civil right movement back in the days as Students in America. That means they identified with African Americans and embraced the struggle which had a trickle down effect to the liberation of a continent. Of the top of my mind I just think African Americans best role models are gone. The like of Martin Luther King or even Malcom X and various leaders who died in the struggle. A different culture took over and as Africans, we don't look too good. It must be a divide and rule tactics where our differences are pointed out to us because it is obvious that if we are united, we will achieve more as black people. That is my little contribution and just hope that the black nation can unite and achieve more as all Martin Luther kings dreams are not fully fulfilled.

Black Native Americans lived on the prime farming lands of New England, the Southeast and the Midwest. The first slaves in the United States were Black Native Americans. Whites forced over 100,000 Native Americans to cultivate tobacco, rice, and indigo. As a result, many Black Native Americans were exterminated or sold into slavery after they had wars with the whites or other Indian tribes. Like people in Africa, the Native Americans sold each other into slavery for guns and cheap goods. The whites concentrated on encouraging the Indians to fight each other so they could buy the losing tribal members as slaves. They also kidnapped Native Americans and made them slaves. Because the Black Native Americans were farmers they concentrated on enslaving Black Native Americans. Black Native Americans who were not sold into slavery had to identify themselves as 'free colored", the same as freed African slaves. This was done by the government to make sure the Black Native Americans would lose their rights to land stolen by the whites. Since most Black Native Americans were sold into slavery or identified as "free colored"they did not mix with whites. The following books talk about the Native American slave trade Gary Zellar, African Creeks: Estelvste and the Creek Nation (2007), James F. Brooks, Captives and Cousins: Slavery, Kinship, and Community in the Southwest Borderlands (2002); Tiya Miles, Ties That Bind: The Story of an Afro-Cherokee Family in Slavery and Freedom (2006); and Theda Purdue, (2005). Now, if Google Notre Dame Cathedral Floor plan and then Google, the so called slave ship diagram that we supposed to have come over on, you will see where this nonsense started. They hatched that plan right there. We were in tribes all over America. What happened... When we went to fight in the Seminole Wars down in Florida they stole all the land and sold it. This was what the Louisiana purchase was about and all the other explorations that took place. When we went south they brought those Dawes Rolls so called Indians in, up through north " the trail of tears," and they replaced us. They know that controversial subjects bring a lot of comments and likes which brings money from these KZitem videos. This brings advertisements.... Our blood type E1B1a comes directly from West Africa. Of course, there were African explorers landing in north and South Ame4rica before the Dutch, British and Spanish.. The truth of the matter is, those Africans were a small group. Today's Black Americans are descendants of the Igbo, Ewe, and Yoruba people of West and Central Africa. Black Cubans are of the Yoruba mostly. The African religions Candomblé, Santeria and others are African rooted belief systems brought over by stolen ancestors. The words Yams (sweet potato) -Goober (peanuts) Coffee, banana, and other foods came with those Africans. The words Hip, Jazz, Jambalaya and plenty more were brought here on the slave ships. The 5 civilized tribes had Black slaves that they got from the Europeans. The Europeans called them civilized because they copied the ways of the ""White man". Roots faced two lawsuits that charged plagiarism and copyright infringement. The lawsuit brought by Margaret Walker was dismissed, but Harold Courlander's suit was successful. Courlander's novel The African describes an African boy who is captured by slave traders, follows him across the Atlantic on a slave ship, and describes his attempts to hold on to his African traditions on a plantation in America. Haley admitted that some passages from The African had made it into Roots, settling the case out of court in 1978 and paying Courlander $650,000.[26][27] Genealogists have also disputed Haley's research and conclusions in Roots. The Gambian griot turned out not to be a real griot, and the story of Kunta Kinte appears to have been a case of circular reporting, in which Haley's own words were repeated back to him.[28][29] None of the written records in Virginia and North Carolina line up with the Roots story until after the Civil War. Some elements of Haley's family story can be found in the written records, but the most likely genealogy would be different from the one described in Roots.[30] Haley and his work have been excluded from the Norton Anthology of African-American Literature, despite his status as the United States' best-selling African-American author. Harvard University professor Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., one of the anthology's general editors, has denied that the controversies surrounding Haley's works are the reason for this exclusion. In 1998 Dr. Gates acknowledged the doubts surrounding Haley's claims about Roots, saying, "Most of us feel it's highly unlikely that Alex actually found the village whence his ancestors sprang. Roots is a work of the imagination rather than strict historical scholarship."[31]

He told you about what a guy in the Navy told you about the Atlantic starting at 42:00," that those waves aren't playing". Apparently the same Navy guy didn't tell him about the doldrums. "The doldrums are also noted for calm periods when the winds disappear altogether, trapping sail-powered boats for periods of days or weeks" on what in other words were placid calm seas. "The term doldrums appears to have arisen in the 18th century, when cross-Equator sailing voyages became more common". However, after attempting to sail on the Atlantic Ocean dating back to the mid 1300s and failing for the next 50 years because of inadequately built maritime vessels, the Europeans by the height of the slave trade 100 years later knew when it was relatively placid or safe to cross the Atlantic and how long it would generally take to do so, since Christopher Columbus had made multiple voyages already before 1500 and it had become common knowledge.

I started looking at the culture, there is a dance call twisting killer, what twist and kill is tornado. I ask myself so what are this people from America doing in West coast Africa, I can't stop thinking about it. And when you see my mum families they have small eyes, most of them fare skin, straight small nose. Please black American stop calling yourselves African American. It's funny that I came to this comment! But, I need to add 2 it! I remember like 15yrs ago listening and hearing the beats of drums, seeing fire and Native American Indian sit around the flames. I also had vision of wild horses and 1 belonged 2 me! I've also invisioned myself walking along side w bears tigers birds. I recently found out my grandma on my Dad side was of the Navajo tribe. It's true what the Indian tribes would say we would never 4get who or where we truly r and come from. Those drums , the shapes of animals in the constallations(the stars) those Indian Chiefs were all ancestors, those Native American Indian was a Doctor to the village. I got that chance to c these once very powerful men. They were praising God sitting around fire teaching and said these things shall always be w in our children. And something man cannot take ever! I can still hear the beat of the drums! My grandma on my Mom side had straight black long hair w a very dark skinned color. Her hair caught my grandfather's attention! So I know that both grandmother's def has Native American Indian in my blood today! I've always wanted to live in the woods vs any city. I love the off grid life! This is a wonderful video, thank u!

@@janellemyers6767 There are more Native Americans than people think, or there are less Black people than people think. Also, there are more pure Natives in Latin America than the US. Tribal affiliation should not be a requirement for claiming Native ancestry. Phenotype and genotype should. Right now, we have many White and Black people who have stolen our heritage, and it's time to take it back. Our ancestors would want it to be so, and so would our Mestizo brothers and sister's non-rapist ancestors. IN 50 YEARS, THE USA IS GOING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE PRE-COLUMBUS AMERICA. If you were born in America do your genealogy and see how far the paper trail goes. You will find many ancestral records missing, conflicting, altered or destroyed. Nowhere but America. Why is that other than to block your inheritance. King James allowed the scribes to write about it in his version of Biblios when he visited America and incorporated the customs of the Amerindians he encountered in the Americas. I have recently learned that only 5% of Black slaves in North America (388,000) came from Africa between 1525 & 1866, the other 95% of Black People already lived in North America for thousands of years before (Native Indians from Asia/Mongolia) and (Europeans) arrived, see YT "(Copper coloured indigenous aborigines)." Fascinating documentation with evidence. The Europeans 1790 Census have Named the indigenous Black People in North America, as "(African American's)," (Black People that have Never in History been to Africa). Why? (Africans & Black Americans) traded for thousands of Years as (Brothers & Sisters) & Both have a Rightful Claims to (Africa & North America) as One People's that Literally Owns Both Continents as North America was the first Egypt. Most people don’t no where they originate. That why DNA test is shocking even white people. Who thought they always been English are German etc. The fact is families didn’t talk about slavery. That why is was lost. To much pain. But what is lost to a lot of families can be found through DNA and records of the trade. Records that were made for financial reasons. Slave ships have a paper trail that visible now for all to see. Deep down Black people some are ashamed of their slave past. So families forgot about it. I have a book that came from America that is a photographic representation of black America, from 1860 to 1980 approx. In the book you see Africans that were born in Africa. Snoop Dog is one Celeb that has Native American DNA , but he is still part African. Oprah is another person but she had less than Snoop, she is over 90% African from Cameroon region. Even some African American are finding African relatives that never left Africa.
