Why did they feed & care for their slaves so poorly? Today a farmer/rancher knows they can't run a a business without taking care of their machines/labor crew. Reminds me of today's Big Corporations that pay min. wage, while owning private jets,etc.!

+sunny rose Ever heard of the 'Willy Lynch Papers'? Read 'em...treating 'property' poorly shows these seemingly 'dull-witted, unintelligible' beings that they are nothing more than that: property, not even fit for thought, or knowledge: Why feed and water the weak, ill, sick, property who's principle job is to work the fields, when you can just have them pop out a few more? See what I'm saying? Modern slavery does exist to SOME degree, but not NEARLY as badly as it did back in these times...these were nothing short of the 'Racial Dark Ages'.

I've kept my family's history since I was a teenager. I have been working on it for over forty years. I have traced my mother's family back 7 generations. It is now 8 including my grandchildren but I cannot find anything about my mother's maternal grandfather. The court house in NC burned up so those records were lost. I have a pretty full tree but that one branch is so bare. 2018...I'm going to find you great-grandfather John. I WILL find you.

The reason everybody is interested in slavery is it needs to be corrected to move forward
@bulletproofkam7931

It has been corrected! The British done that hundreds of years ago, but the British Americans who carried on slavery after the British people decided to make the American Revolution kept it goin for longer, half of white Americans have British named, and so do blacks in America.

I am finding it incredibly difficult to trace my husbands' family members who were slaves (presumeably) in Louisiana and Arkansas. I have traced my family (i'm white) to the early 1600s in America, but have had great difficulty in finding ANY written records even for recent family members. My late husband and I raised our 3 children to be proud of All their ancestors, black and white, and I really hope to be able to find their fathers' ancestors, so that they will understand where they came from both mother and fathers' side.

My ancestors fought for the British during the revolutionary war. Then when they lost they packed up and moved to Canada 😂 somehow one ended up in Australia. I’ve always been curious about his ancestry because he and his daughter had very, very curly textured hair. I know there are black people with the surname ‘Huff’ which is one of his family lineages. I know he came to Australia because he had a major bust up with his father. And I know that my dads 2nd cousins have african results in their DNA tests. I didn’t... I wonder....

A show is needed for WHITE PPL to discover how much their family has been both been: DNA blended into the black community and how much they have economically benefited from black ppl. Make it a national discovery and watch the effects/affects.

One really doesn't need to find out how each white person benefitted economically. A rising economic tide of economic prosperity lifted the whole country. We white people, just need to accept that!
