@@AbbyNixon I don't know about Military benefits but retirement benefits such as Social security, 401K, IRA, taxable investment accounts you can still receive and have access to even if you renounce your US citizenship. @Anonymous This is true, I was thinking more about people with retirement income based off of the other post. I previously thought that you will not be entitled to your US retirement benefits if you renounce your citizenship but this is not true, you can still receive them. @raiethefantibae
4 жыл бұрын
fifikhalifa barry ah ok, i was just wondering (hope it didn’t come across as a cheeky comment or anything). Those of us who don’t yet have dual citizenship are a bit limited in what we can do when we for example visit the country(ies) of our background. I’ll give you a little example. My mum is from Ghana, my boyfriend is also from Ghana and lives in Ghana, but because I’m not a Ghanaian citizen (yet), when i want to withdraw money in Ghana i have to send money to my boyfriend and have him withdraw the money for me so i can avoid charges (they might only be a few £ but they add up eventually). If he’s not around I have to find someone else and send the money to them to have them withdraw it because i can’t open a mobile money account. It quickly becomes frustrating

Today you have many white people standing up with you in America. They are not happy to see black people being killed by police I think we need to look at issues like more deeper . Just to let you know that not every white person is an enemy to black people. You need to visit different Countries in African before you moving there. We have white people who are citizen in Africa. So clarify. He says if you are American you can not keep your American citizenship if seeking Gambian citizenship BUT if you are Gambian....key word GAMBIAN...you CAN keep your Gambian citizenship even if you go seek another. Is that correct or not? So if only Gambian citizens can gain another citizenship.

Renouncing of dual citizenship applies anyone who have the intention of becoming a president of Gambia including even those with Gambian roots. So Renouncing is only on political cases, the rest is noise. You should try better research next time, much love.😍

I drove from England to West Africa, where I am at the moment as you can see on my channel and I have been places here on the continent where I don't speak the language and they do not speak mine, but we communicate and get along. I do not think choosing a country for english, french, portuguese or spanish is a good idea, because it is how you feel in the environment that matters. I went to Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼 that speak portorguese, Wollof, Mandinka and Fulani of which I don't speak any and I love that country👌🏿👊🏿👍🏿

Keep the colonial languages. It enables us to interact with the rest of the world. Almost half the world speaks the European languages that Africans speak. That's half the world worth of new customers, new products, new ideas, etc. That's why you and I can understand each other right now.

I mean I’m interested in moving to Africa! But I am really concerned about is it going to be worth it? I mean most of the leaders in Africa seem like their haven’t got their peoples best interest at heart. Seems like a lot of the leaders are giving up their children’s future away by giving up so much land and just letting the west and Asians ride roughshod over them. I mean why jump out of the frying pan into the Pan ? Someone please educate me on the situation please.
