IICC Shooting Stars of Ibadan defeat the Cameroonian side Tonnerre Kalala of Yaounde by four goals to one in the first leg of the African Cup Winners Cup Final.
Held at Nigeria's National Stadium in the Surulere district of Lagos, the lead proved to be an insurmountable one, and Shooting Stars became the first Nigerian team to win an African football club competition when the lost by a single goal in the second leg.
Among the players are Segun Odegbami who scored the first goal for Shooting Stars and Tonnerre's Roger Milla, who would later become a World Cup hero for Cameroon.
