B T and Niq, I feel very sad when you both left the black Indian village and as I looked in the eyes of that guy who was so kind in taking you both around, I wish you could have taken him with you on your journey as well as to Africa. I guess one day it will happen after you both visit them again. I pray that they will be more appreciated; and that the government of India will open their arms and welcome them into their world instead of them being isolated and look upon as rejects. They are beautiful; humble people, and should be treated with dignity; respect and love. Peace and love to you all. Safe journey, my brothers.❤

Burundian Traveller what a beautiful experience you have had. It was nice of you to make the journey to the village where Africans live. They were surely happy to meet brothers from the Motherland. BT, as an African born in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago, it is a wish that most have. . . every generation wish to make that journey back home. It was my Great Grand Mother's wish to go to the land her parents were born. It was also my Grand mother's wish, as well as my mom's. As for me, I have thought about making the trip back and I began conducting research to trace my Great, great grand-mothers passage. Arm with some historical information, I learn that she was part of a shipment of very young children around 1850s to 1860s that left the Western Coast of Africa to Trinidad and Tobago. Secondly, I have always treasured my Great great grand-mothers name: just a single name I assumed was her first name ( my maternal side); and I have found her name. So far I have learnt that her name is not only a first name but a family's name.

BT is important to note that African people were traded to India via the Indian Ocean and others via the Atlantic Ocean and is called the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. The trade began around late 1400s and ended in and around 1880s. Its an historical fact. You can meet us in the United States of America, South America and the Caribbean.

The East African slaves via the Indian Ocean ended up in the middle east, India and the islands in the Indian Ocean where they worked in sugarcane plantations, pearl divers and sailors in Persia and Gulf. In East Africa this was introduced by the Arabs.

@@ladysafari01 what year did the Arabs began the trans-shipment of African people to India and the Middle? It seems that while it occured in the 1400s in West Africa, the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade was happening simultaneously. I am of the oponion that the Arabs had led an earlier trade in human cargo some where around 600 th Century to India. . . Is there any evidence to support this? My other question is, how do you account for the African population in the Phillipines? -- they have been there even earlier. Was this trans shipment also an Arab led exploitation of Africa and its people? Thanks fir your feedback. 😥😭😥
