So the foam melts from the hot metal and turns to a gas and is expelled out through the sand..? Also there is no metal contamination from the melted and gaseous foam?

I guess there will be accumulation of plastic in some surfaces and that must be taken into account in the design phase.

If casting is gated properly, no foam residue buildup to contaminate the casting

click on the gear icon to change video settings -> Subtitles/CC -> Auto-translate -> then just select Spanish from the list.

It has some advantages over lost wax, also the gases can be scrubbed before release.
